Back end team restructure

It has always been in our plans to improve our team coordination, management and transparency which were long overdue. I am not saying that there is anything wrong with our current team and I am thankful for everyone who has dedicated their precious time to improve the game.

Before we truely accept anything your saying, we need to know the full reason, not the skimmings off the top of the soup pot, I want to see the contents, see the meat and how your putting it together, anything less and your treating us as if we are little children that need not know what goes on in the adult world.

Congrats Trib, you just pooped in teh pie and now your expecting us to eat it and say `Delicious, I want more please!`.

No we as a player base and community will not accept that. GC has alays been a good community with usually pretty good staff and admins (yes we have all had our fallouts with staff, no game is perfect in this regard, and this is coming from an ex staff member of almost 3 years for GC). If your worried about your CC info being comprimised, I have one suggestion: Stop buying paid time. Simple and it will also make ste actually give a toss about GC, which he hasn`t for years now.

Now regarding the effective hostiel take over that has been done here Trib, I expected better of you. All you have done is tick off most of the people that actually made the game what it is today...actually online and a semi viable business for which stephen has done nothing at all in regards to advertising or effort to recruit new players. Most new people are here from word of mouth. If you shatter that good word of mouth link like you just have, it spreads like a cancer and then more people will quit and the game will FINALLY die.

I remember when we used to have 150+ players logged in at a time on GC:RT. Now I look and it`s 23. Think about that for a moment.

How is that viable as a business? Sure your costs are low as hell being based where you are vs say the US or Europe, however all it would be making is maintaining money. Zero for development and it truely does show.

I`m shocked that the game is still around and I tip my hat to the now ex staff members that have put in the hours, weeks, months and in some cases years to keep this game running. I`m happy for the friends I have made and still sad for those that I have lost (Still miss you Lab RIP). For all your hard work I say thank you and I hope it all works out for you guys and gals if you stick around or finally float off.

I`ve always wondered what would be the end of GC. Its obvious that a game like this cant continue forever. Maybe this is it.

I also notice that during research the button no longer jumps around. i can click and click and click and never move my mouse. Turned off bot check?

He just wants to make the game work the way he wants it to work, like any dictator would do. He wants to make the changes and then tell stephen "Behold! Look what I have accomplished!" and get him on his side. But really all he`s doing is f**king up the game and causing players to become disgruntled and eventually they will leave.

We can`t have useless admins (no offense, it is in reference to your lack of powers atm). But worse, we absolutely cannot have someone running GC who doesn`t know the game. I dont care who Trib is or where he came from, I just dont want him or anyone like him running GC.

I am perfectly fine with the current GC staff. I like EE and BW because imo they are fair and just. This is not to say they haven`t made any mistakes... But for the most part they manage things well enough to be almost invisible.

My statement to Trib in regards to his actions: Piss off! Return control of GC to those who manage GC. This is NOT you. UC is your business. GC is not.

People inside of GC are already aware of BW and myself, they know all the rumors and they know how we`ve acted inside of GC for better or for worse, but i wager most didn`t even know of your existence until recently so i figured i would inform them and you can paint yourself any color you choose it`s up to the individual player to decide what they want to believe.

I know you like acting like the great Hope for UC and that your abolishing acts you deem horrible against UC players, Many of which you yourself are guilty of like making up rules on the spot and punishing only those you see fit at the time of making up said rule despite the fact that many others were doing the same thing and received no punishment.

Perhaps you`ve change perhaps you`ve stop doing illegal things or morally wrong things with your account, i have no idea if you changed or not, and atm i don`t care if you have. The only thing i`ve seen is this selfish act you`ve so blatantly committed without just cause. Nothing has warranted this coup d`etat.

Well since "GameAdmin" saw fit to appoint himself the sole administrator of all of gamestotal, then you should bring that up to him and have him fix it for you. If he fails to do so or refuses, then he really isnt worth a sh!t and should be removed from the community forthwith. But stephen is the only one now with that particular authority and he doesnt do anything anyway....

ih, ive logged in yesterday and find my empire at max dept is this something to do with ebcause now i was jsut doing infra and i m so in dept all my time and such lost after +100 infra of time just feel like quitting already?

Also, always use paypal to buy paid accounts... I would never trust my credit card information to GC, especially considering how awfully insecure GC programming is. If you directly gave your credit card information to GC, then I suggest calling your credit card company and have your number changed. I don`t know how stephen stores that information or if he even does store it, but if it was me, i wouldn`t take any chances

Don`t ask me how I know this, but GC stores your passwords as plaintext, meaning if your password is abc123, it is saved in the database as abc123. This is a big no-no, you should always save user`s passwords as encrypted. If you happen to use the same password on multiple sites like facebook, gmail, a potential hacker can get your email address and password from GC`s database and log into your email accounts etc...

What should you do?
Ideally, Stephen should change the way passwords are stored in GC`s database, but that is unlikely, so instead, use a password for GC that is exclusive to gc only. That way, even if someone knows your password, they can`t use it for your accounts on other websites.

credit card and most personal info would not be stored inside of gamestotals DB`s because gamestotal uses third party payment processing..

Meaning only paypal, 2co, etc.. whatever payment method you used would have that information given only gamestotal was compromised that information is quite safe

I hope AC finishes his game soon.....

Any legal experts here? If fraud does occur on our CC accounts can we hold Stephen liable?
