Sorry about the title, not much room; anyway. Im currently using the Terran race and I had a couple separate questions pertaining to the title.

Industry-

It says under help that Terrans don`t need industry to function. Im curious why. Im also curious how exactly industry affects and improves your colonies.

Housing and Commercial-

Under the guide for Terrans it says that my housing should be 1 house for every 10 land availible. My question is: 1). Why does it matter and 2). What formula is the best for making the most out of my commercial per my housing.

Say you have that planet size 200. This means the total of commercial, mining, agriculture, and housing on this planet can`t go over 200.

Each level of infrastructure needs 1 pop, so assuming you want to fill the planet up, that means 20 housing so as to get 200 pop and build the other 180.

Given Terran bonuses, it`s more profitable to build commercial infrastructure to 180 and buy the consumer goods on the market at 3 or 4 rather than produce them. Ditto with agriculture as long as prices aren`t too high. I don`t remember how much one commercial infrastructure yields when you haven`t done any research, but that`s easy enough to calculate based on your income.

typically you`ll want 7 lvls in housing and the rest of you lvls in commerical, if you`re going to become a commercial terran that is.

Industry makes commercial goods, which arent necessary for terrans. makes you a lil extra money is all. Housing is how much labor you have on your planet, so unless you dump alot of research into housing, you NEED one housing for every ten land. not sure bout that last part. lol
