Is it time to buff virals?

No way....8 range is bad enough lol how about 8 range for hammer and 9 range for sting.

Lol BW being OP that`s why guards with 1/3rd or less of the land can keep up with him 24/7 and some can even out build him. but yeah.. as much as i would personally like Virals to have a comm boost since i am a comm viral, there`s little reason to buff comm for virals atm. As i said before as far as TB servers go you can get more bang for your buck by going guard and or playing as a miner.

Perhaps one day we`ll get access to all races econ mods and we`ll do a little reworking. but none of that is on the books atm. BW and i have talked about this issue before and we usually come to the same conclusion that virals are relatively balances as is and that any lack of interest in the viral race is due to trending popularity of other races.

Of course we`re all ears if everyone thinks we should restore Borrelly and Chiron back to 9 range and 100% capture ^^

honestly everyone knows the only TRUE beneficiary of a com buff is our dear old head admin BW not saying anything bad here but those 1k planets all massive in land whit even a 5% boost would make him even more op then befor other then that i think its simply silly to try to buff nerff virals there econ sucks SOOO WHAT they have the most versityle shiplist in the game and are still explorable

only changes i say is increase the credit cap 1 trill is fine but a lot of taxers can bounce off that every day regardless of food prices climb to 100m sit there for a week and still have there credits reach max and im not talking fodder spam... just not lyth spam

I think , in my humble opinion that to make all of this fair. Bearing in mind all points of view. We can all agree that I *cough I mean Tewwan should be given V.Borrelly and Pyths...

In return I offer all Virals the choice of T. Ryu Jin (with go faster stripes) or T.Maru Corvette with extended warranty

Problem I have with it just being racial modifiers, is that isn`t the only issue I would address for them, nor a whole racial overhaul is warranted I think, because lets face it, CGs are a bonus to most people and not always needed (well besides guards and tax empires). Agri you already have marauders, collectives, terrans and you are saying we need race that can compete with that? I think attacking the racials the virals have already would be more effective, but meh, what do I know these days. No offense to shooting your thought Rag, it is a good one, but that would hurt virals who are already or heavily researched in certain trees. (thinking about older players on slower servers)

Virals are as rubbish as Terrans nowadays, I think they deserve a boost. They are one of the more important "flavor" races with a proud(?) legacy of domination. It`s time to stop treating them like Germany after WW1 and accept that they kicked our a$$.

Access to D class was suggested, it`s a controversial but simple and effective way to give some teeth to their stacks.

Maru upkeep is fine the way it is.

if we touched maru it wouldn`t be the stats we touch it would be the upkeep and yes collective would probably get a similar treatment

Could you not nerf the maru ships that take 45 turns for 1.2mil...
