The colls had friggen modis lol and most weren`t attacking it anyway, pretty much the same group of people. a normal player has little to no chance unless he has friends controlling everything over 50mil the entire time...

DG: In my book a uw attempt which is basically taking over the minds of everyone on the galaxy or something like that really looses all point if its one big NAP-fest. You also helped killing the collective uws as you say and we did that very quickly despite the ships being ultra strong.

It`s a pretty common thing. Used to be if no player set off a UW each month, an NPC would. Going a whole year without a UW is 17 kinds of ridiculous, and I think Africa is partially correct as to why it`s much harder now than it used to be.

With the 3x build rate update, it made it 3x harder to UW, roughly instantly, since max power was not changed.

@ Sibi - You can`t defend against a guard who can build 7m in 45 turns :P

UW`s on RT are near impossible these days unless you ally or NAP like 80% of the server.

Well the minor problem with pulling off a UW is there`s almost zero to no resource to help the UW to go off in the market.

I don`t see uw attempts like in the old says anymore. It takes timing, strategy, diplomacy, lots of resources, and a strong group of defenders. Frankly it seems any recent attempts are just plain power attempts with very little thought or planning going into them. I admire any player that pulls one off these days but I don`t agree that any staff member can make it mandatory, I firmly believe its wrong to place rt in a no win situation
Does rt need one? Yes absolutely. But it should be done by a player and not an NPC or by the flip of a switch its just morally wrong and that`s why if I see any NPC trying to set one off I`m gonna wreck it.

How much warning will you give us before it starts? If artis get reset to 10%, i would like to use them before the uw goes off. thank you :)

Im all for getting a UW set off.

And Africa, thats why you need good defence to pull off a UW and not just a big fleet!

I dont know if this has been discussed before or recently and it might be slightly of topic, but its so freaking difficult to set of UWs with the current build rates. And Im not just talking about guardians though they are the main problem. During the event, I spammed some 60-80k queens several times. Its just too fast.

The amount of EHP you can build up in a uw is imo (at the current server state) not enough compared to how quick people can build up to shoot you down. Nerf build rates with some 15-20% or maybe more and lets see. I know TB is an issue, but that will always be the case.

Core of the problem is guardian though.

Sorry for derailing thread. Please set of the uw, if you feel its mandatory. I don`t see it will have effect whatsoever however. People can make tons of cash quickly anyway. It will only create a shortage on minerals and ore, worse than now anyway.

i am good with that as long as its BW that is the one thats forced to do it. lol

as a player, im ok with this... as a guide, meh
