Alright 25, 0 land X c.5`s will be released out onto the server soon, they will be given out to randomly select people based on their rank those in the top 5 were excluded as was myself. also those in vm were also excluded. i will not post up a list of who all is getting clusters people will have to figure it out the hard way.

Those that get the c.5s will be frozen until login. they will also receive 2 btc to help them build quick fleets to protect their new clusters. Any one who VMs with an event cluster will be disqualified from the event, have the cluster taken from them and the cluster will be given back out to another random person. If you restart with an event cluster please let me know so i can throw it back onto the server.

Any marauder or collective who figures out the trick to plundering these clusters and who does so will be disqualified from the event, any event cluster they capture from there on out will be removed and reissued to the server along with the first one they plundered.

The event will end on March 8th, for two days after that I will turn all c.5`s into 125 c.4`s for collectives and virals and c3`s for every one else, they will have 62,500 land 30,000 ore and will be given +1k loyalty, to a max of 5k. They will receive 10 housing and 10 mining infra already in place. Prizes are Non-negotiable.

Can i vm now and keep cluster or have to wait till tomorrow?? I got to go for a couple days....

since it was not informed to the players. it should leave choice to players to decide either to clusters or the uw. i could leave the event easily with vm, but i am left out with uw. the choice should be on player.

im pretty sure the uw is part of the origional event, the idea being: yes you get to win a bunch of c3s, but are those c3s worth losing 90% of your minerals and cash?

i would like to get myself to remove from this event. i am less interested with junks clusters, i am more into the uw for now. i wont want to risk my original clusters to hit uw while both event are at the same time.

if you want to know why it`s due to a database limitation the field for planets is set to tinyint which limits it to 0-255 in 1 byte of storage..

this is something i`ve explained to Stephen in the past but he either didn`t understand what i was trying to get across or just figured it was safer to disable c.5

some times there are errors and strange occurrences around 256 planet clusters

i have a strange remark...
how come that a C5 counts as 255 planets?
since everyone knows 4^4=256

or is this yet another exhibit of crooked stephen-math, who only assigned an 8-bit integer to `planet count` of a colony... -_-"

as with alot of things on this game luck plays a big part of the game as it has been with this event and it will continue to be.

as for fair there are a lot of things unfair about the game mechanics on GC, dig times, personal activity levels, friends, stephen math. but to change the rules now at the end would be unfair.

I`m sure there are those who have been hoping their luck would pay off and they would get a c5 during the last leg of the event so keeping isn`t nearly as difficult. it`s a strategy and it can work .

it would be completely unfair not to do as i said i would.

just a suggestion. i dont think that event clusters from those who vmed should be randomly distributed. It is only just 5 day left to end. giving it randomly would not seems fair who hold the event cluster from day 1.

And to those of you who believe the Admins are abusing their powers to look at our fleets before they shoot.. I think this demonstrates that EE certainly doesn`t do that :p
