Alright 25, 0 land X c.5`s will be released out onto the server soon, they will be given out to randomly select people based on their rank those in the top 5 were excluded as was myself. also those in vm were also excluded. i will not post up a list of who all is getting clusters people will have to figure it out the hard way.
Those that get the c.5s will be frozen until login. they will also receive 2 btc to help them build quick fleets to protect their new clusters. Any one who VMs with an event cluster will be disqualified from the event, have the cluster taken from them and the cluster will be given back out to another random person. If you restart with an event cluster please let me know so i can throw it back onto the server.
Any marauder or collective who figures out the trick to plundering these clusters and who does so will be disqualified from the event, any event cluster they capture from there on out will be removed and reissued to the server along with the first one they plundered.
The event will end on March 8th, for two days after that I will turn all c.5`s into 125 c.4`s for collectives and virals and c3`s for every one else, they will have 62,500 land 30,000 ore and will be given +1k loyalty, to a max of 5k. They will receive 10 housing and 10 mining infra already in place. Prizes are Non-negotiable.

Just a question on this sentence from the original post "125 c.4`s for collectives and virals" ... isn`t viral`s and collectives`s c4 64 planets instead of 125?
The borders were put under the C3 for a reason. So that you didn`t lose anything, and if you didn`t want to participate, all you had to do was leave dp, let someone take it, and your empire hasn`t been changed in the slightest. So basically Iceman here is whining for absolutely no reason.
I think Iceman has a point too, though everyone knows it will happen, hoarding isn`t for everyone, as people have different playing styles in this game. That said it isn`t easy to please everyone, as it is to make people disgruntled (though Iceman stated that he is just simply suggesting). I am sure the player-staff will think of even more creative events in the future =)
Actually for the Chinese it was also everybody`s birthday yesterday (29 hours ago), =) seventh day of the lunar new year

Haha GCLoanshark...you are out to lunch. The so called borders were "BELOW" the c5. Also I left dp to actually get rid of that monkey on my empires back so to speak as it was completely stagnating my new empires growth.

I`m merely suggesting you all consider how much fun it would be to play an 1100 planet comm viral when there are 10 explorable guards who make more than you and can build 2x as fast as you while you sleep. He doesn`t VM to hold borders, he VM`s because this game is horribly imbalanced atm and just not fun to play.
Also, I have not been playing hours to get my C.5`s. It`s my birthday today, I`ve been online a total of 10 minutes. And I didn`t even want all the ones I have. I keep hitting people for borders and getting C.5`s.

Yes you were quite victimized Theiceman, you got an extra border and were hit by someone when you left dp... oh wait other than begin GIVEN a border you had the same thing happen to you as any other day...

Its too late now because I got rid of that not-smart thing,but is there anyway we can exclude ourselves from these ridiculous contests PRIOR to being victimized by the `random" distribution of these empire stagnators?
Oh and I should have added a Massive thank you to TBK for suggesting something along these lines originally and EE for implementing this. I`ve not had a chance to join in the fun yet but I certainly aim to.
@ Ren, what part of my CONCERN is silly? i not complaining just simply stating a concerning aspect of the event, ne in which is very very real fact. i dont agree with memorex in any way, i think the event is fair for everyone. but the truth is the truth whether you like it or not,and we have lost alot of good players because of it.
@ fortythree, i agree with you sir, Ive played along time here and i know, problem is most all the other vets are not like you and handful f others when it comes to losing clusters/big land colonies,
Thats where my humble opinion stems from. And there is always the same song and dance from those who do it, the same peeps that are playing hours and hours aday right now trying to catch them (wich is Awesome and why i love this event) will suddenly have every reason under the sun to VM WEEK at a time (so they get turns) till they get boarders then rinse repete and noone ever gets real shot at them ever again unless they g inactive or miss VM because they have vmed so long. And please remember this is just a concern not a rant or complaint against anyone just a concern that in long run this could cause less activity. If that is a silly and baseless concern i guess you will have to explain to me why it is. i see noting silly about being worried to lose activity from the better players left here on RT.

@memorex I`m afraid I disagree with you, for once I agree with Raist, it`s a war game which means that you can`t have a fun time if everything is spread out equaly.
@Brotherhood I`m afriad you seem to have a point, some of the big land empires do VM just to hold clusters the answer however is simple, just make sure I get them all, I rarely VM and have lost several C3s, usually when some explorable empire has targeted me making things one sided.

@memorex, if you imply that those who gain will always follow and support such events then I`d suggest that you "learned to gain" if I may say so. Plenty of young/small empires running around perfectly fine, having no trouble getting c5s and protecting them.
