GC:RT Food prices...crazy

So wondering why food is so expensive on GC:RT? 29 per unit currently, not sure if it`s just been bought up and artificially inflated or if that is how it has been for a while.

Could someone shed some light on this for me? Thinking of coming back to agri terran and want to see if there is actually a market for it or if all of the taxers have gone guard and restarted/quit.

Yeah I know Aba. But personnaly I think 15 or more its too much lol. I just like my profit. And gotta think about those virals too.

Well, I stayed popped up until food hit 40 then I depopped and started enslaving people for cash.... But ren is right as soon as he was vmed the price doubled

Miners still make money with food at around 37 or so from memory and 38 per if they have goods, which seems to be on the market more often than I`m used to.

I just thinking of going agri terran on a more casual basis than what I was before, say only 100-120k land worth of ferts, not the 150k I had last time haha.

Eh. Only big producer then. Food shoots up 10-15 per unit instantly once I stop posting =/ I really don`t see any other producer with even a slightly significant impact.

I definitely wouldn`t say he`s the only producer, but his absence has tipped the demand ahead of the supply.

You r not the only food producer. I do not produce as much as you but I am agri too

@EA, pretty sure there`ll be a market for food right now, so you`d better start on building that agri terran asap :p

I drove everyone else out of business. I`m pretty much the ONLY food producer. It`s a gamble. You make no money when I`m around, but a fair bit when I`m not. Depends on how active I plan on being on whether or not it is worth it.

My inactivity is the reason. Finals week + Christmas etc put me in VM, and that means no one is making food. I set the price between 8-10 depending on how I am feeling when I`m around though.
