"For Terrans you do not need to build industry."

Is is still not BENEFICIAL to build industry?
M Maraudian
well first you need to research into what a consumer good is

a CG is a luxary person(s) on your planets buy off you for 5 credits each ( things like beer :D )

now you can buy consumer goods off the market from 0-4 credits , so even at max price you make a minimum of 1 credit per consumer good sold to your population

so when you see -1 consumer good per turn , that means your making +5 credits per turn , so the bigger your Negative income of CG actually = 5x this is bonus income if you have goods or means nothing at all if you dont have any.

now if your not an A miner and your making +1 consumer good a turn , it means your losing out on Alot of potential money Per Turn

for example if you have 1 industry producing 1 good per turn that you can sell on the market for 4 credits or to your population for 5

you could have 1 comerce or 1 agri and easily make 100x bigger income , you could then donate a small amount of this Far superior income to simply buying any consumer goods you see for an even bigger better bonus income

even if you have no consumer goods there is no negative affects , it just means your hard working folk cant have a beer or such :`(

How is buying Goods better than making them?

I went light on Industry - equal to Housing.

concentrate on comerce or agri. you dont even need goods.
goods are for tax empires.

Do not waste your infrastructure on industry. Much better to buy goods on the market (when they are available). Invest your infrastructure in your primary method of income, probably commercial or agriculture.

So, yes. This is still accurate.
