List up to 3 real reasons why you continue to play gcrt/turn based and who you would like to thank from back in the day.This thread is limited to active players and staff.

Reason #1: I used to spend every waking hour playing, and in my spare time I calculated stacks, build rates, and simulated battles. Numbers ran throughout my head all day. Gc is pure instinct now like reading code in the matrix its a part of me.

Reason #2 with all my on and off time over the years theirs a beast still inside of me that fights to be unleashed. It feels like it has unfinished business and still has something to prove, something selfish and beast like.

I would have to thank in no particular order....

So I look forward to hearing from everyone the "what" and "who" behind their space crack addiction.

Also iuztheevil, brotherhood, badpenny, and anyone else I can`t remember for being there to steal borders, enslave, counter, and otherwise make this game so fun and worth coming back to.

I`ve played since late 03 and always keep a Gc tab open in chrome for turns. I`m also happy this game is so low bandwidth I can play on my phone during slow times at work and some of my best battles took place there. It`s hard to fight on a phone but the challenge has always captivated me.

You guys and gal (gals?) Are awesome and Gc wouldn`t be the same without you. Not just those I mentioned, but everyone.

1: The memories of my Empire. Need to reopen that sega, eh?
2: The Matrix/Instinct/Fun. So rusty.

Ah spacecrack, been playing since early 2004 (I know this account does not show it, I do not remember my origional name at all.) I dont know why I keep coming back, But I do.

I`d really love to thank Mark U. (Cannot spell his last name, dont know how) For showing me this game way back then, Things got a bit crazy between us and he probably dosent play anymore anyway but If he does I just want to say i`m sorry and thank you.

A couple other people i`d love to thank but do not remember their names. But most recently I`d love to thank galactic mercenaries for helping kickstart my renewed interest and being there for great advice.

Also IamtheMatrix for the great late-night talks.

And how could I almost forget ImaViruzOhNoz for his support in my writing. I`ll get new stuff out soon i`ve just been goin through a rough time irl. Love you all, peace.

I like it because my laptop is really slow and there are not many pictures to load.

Reason I play, theres no graphics, no effects just game play. dang I miss when games didn`t have flashy 3-D cut scenes and just played well. GC doesn`t play that well but the other players generally do.

People to thank, well believe it or not I`m not a massively old hand, I happended across the game 18 months ago and got stuck. I`d say probably Destroyer of Empires (yes I know he annoys many but he`s always been cool with me), TPE (always seems to end up in the same Fed as me) and Bad Karma (really taught me how to hoard properly as a miner). There are several other but these are the ones who stand out.

Reason 1. I`m still trying to find out why I play this dead game, is it because its addicting, or what the guide said below me. There has to be something behind this logic, its madness... no its GC lol.

Heh. Two reasons I`m still here after 15 days shy of 9 years...

A) The friends I`ve been playing with for most of that time. And the ones that have come and gone over the years.

B) It`s pretty much instinct at this point. When you`ve always had a GC tab open when at your computer for this long, it feels real weird to not have one up. Using turns every few mins and checking TB every few hours is just completely mindless now, it just sort of happens without thought.
