Can (minor / grand) Estructura permanently "kill" a colony?

For example, if it demolishes all the housing, there`s no longer any way to regain those population right?

There is a time that it would be useful... That`s awsome to know.

Sure, it`s possible like that. But It`d be a gigantic waste of artifacts, as generally fighting people have borders.
P PacerierOP
Yep, to do it we have to act like we are fighting the target, then suddenly throw in the estructuras and gentes and alimentos.

If it`s fast enough he wouldn`t notice it and he will continue to spend turns building his ships and fight. But voila, due to a lack of food his last population dies and there goes his gordo-ed u.class or homeworld.

But yea, guardians don`t need food... zZzzZz

So tbe answer to this q is yes..but only if a turn is used? This could be useful yep yep :)

It would die. For the same reason that pop dies when you demolish housing on a colony. The turn use destroys the infra and the pop dies cuz a turn was used.
B Brotherhood
But does it die if you use turns before noticing? Pop with no food dies does it not? I think we need to experiment lol

DM, I think you misunderstand me. Say you are an agri empire with a 5k c1. 500 land housing, 4500 land agri. You use Estructura`s to kill the all the infrastructure on it. You now have a c1 with 5,000 current pop, 0 max pop, and 0 of anytihng else. Ie it produces nothing, but still has 5,000 pop. You just reassign the 5k pop to housing/agri and you are fine.

I see the possibility here but this is assuming the target in question doesnt have borders and you catch them with a main colony exposed. It would be such a waste for the count to be off by one and "woops" I just burnt down your 25 land gas.

Also resources are still generated from the other colonies including food not to mention the reserves.

It is possible, you just kill all the infrastructure and if the empire is not taxing the colony is xed. Also very effective way to make a prank on taxers that get to one infrastructure to drop their pop.
K KaworuNagisa Admin
Ie it`s not possible.
P PacerierOP
Ic, so the only way to permanently kill a colony is to estructura all the housing, gente the pop to 1, alimento/alimenter food to zero, and *force* the empire to use 1 turn without first replenishing their food supplies?
K KaworuNagisa Admin
While the artifact still has an effect, it only destroys the infrastructure, and doesn`t actually erase the current pop. So you can still rebuild the planet.

And no, you can`t use Gente`s to decrease the current pop after using Estructura`s to destroy the infra. Gente`s will not kill population past 1.

What do you mean by "it doesn`t work"?
I IAmTheMatrix
It doesn`t work. But yes, if pop dies or infra destroyed, basically if pop ever goes to 0 in either of these conditions, its over.
