Multiple counters - expired?

OK, this guy hit me twice on 03/25 and twice on 03/29.
I countered on 03/29 and 03/30.
Today is April 1st (but that`s not a joke), I was under the impression I still had 2 counters on him, untill 04/04 or 04/05, right? But he isn`t on my "retal" list any more (and no, he hasn`t restarted). Does that mean I can hit someone a lot of times, being certain I`d get countered for only a fraction of my attacks?

they will expire after 7 days , counters will also be taken from the last one given

yeh your counters will expire after 7 days
