The Virals begining was long a subject of debate. No single party wanted to admit to creating them, But everyone knew that it just wasn`t natural. Someone had crafted them to adapt, and adapt they did.
My kind do not have names, Everyone except those at the very top are hive minded. However if you must know me I shall tell you of my origins, And by learning of me you learn of the begining of the viral race, For I was the first.
My early memories were very cloudy. Probably because of the liquid solution my creators kept me in. I could mostly see in shadows, there were periods of darkness and periods of light, During the times of light they would come, press their fat faces against the glass and tap, It was quite annoying and wholly disturbing. But I let them look, Nothing bothered me back then, I was happy.
Eventually my mind began to grow, The result of their experimentations in advancing inteligance, an oxymoron if I`d ever seen one. As it grew so did I, Eventually I out-grew my tube, then my tank, and eventually I was moved into a circular room with a depression in the center, this was filled with my liquid and I was generally very happy to lounge in it all day. But even the greatest of things must come to an end.
They decided to put my inteligence to the test, They`d give me blocks and see what shapes I`d build out of them, Of course my whole world being tanks I didnt build anything. This upset them quite a bit, they grabbed this rodlike thing and pressed it at me, The pain as the electricity surged through me was a whole new sensation, one I did not like. Being in the brine gave me a but of an edge as the thrashing sprayed some onto the one shocking me and it coursed through into him too. That was an interesting experiance. As I shudder over to him he lays there smoking and sizzling, A horrified expression upon his face. I touched one tentacle to his face and felt a warmth spread through me. As it did I began to change.
