curious K class

i noticed that all 3 of the K class guards have take alot more terran metal then other minerals to build, why is that? seems all (but L class tho very low) dont take any at all. is it a way of making terran sell more since not many race ships use it? is it cause of something to do with K class history? just curious as to why TM and not Fez :P
