GC`s new background

So, what`s the back story on this? Obviously GC was hacked, probably due to outmoded security and what not.

More importantly, was the background the only thing that`s been changed, or has the game got some nasty programming left behind as well?

Would be interesting to get some kind of statement from Stephen about what happened.

cleard the cache and now my screen is in a resolution that is not what i ask. everything is either Tiny or huge!

actually it`s been unused since about 2006 or 2007

stephen never updated the GC stylesheets when he updated the rest of GC to match gamestotal.com

So wait, spacefed.com officially went offline finally? That`s hilarious. Too bad this happened 2 days after April Fool`s. :P

and let me reiterate GC was in no way hacked.. Lol

Anyone still seeing the Shopwiki background just needs to clear cache btw.

actually your incorrect..

the stylesheet pointed to spacefed.com still

Being that site is no longer in use it got taken over by a bot which redircted all attempts to access a picture to shopwiki.. i personally updated the stylesheet sent it to Stephen who has uploaded it..


so this issue is fully fixed Ofc.

Isn`t that a scary thought, but no, this game still makes money for him. It lets him buy ice cream for his kid, and himself. :P

Maybe now stephen will pay more attention to this game now, or he will just close it down completely so he doesn`t have to worry about this anymore.

I mean I wish the guy actually did something constructive while he had access instead of some dum prank like this. Maybe actually copy/paste the code, make a GC clone on a closed server, fix all the bugs, add some shiny new features for admins, then go back and copy/paste over the code!

But I guess that`s too much to ask from a bored hacker. =/
