Empire UW (Normal)

Let`s get back to EMPIRE`s UW. It`s more than half down, let`s get some good hits in! :)

As his stacks converge, it might be worth having a scout before you hit to make sure you`re hitting the right ship.

Updated suggestions:
Best would probably to reduce his 2 big stacks first.

Hit the fodder aggressively with ruby, pinnace, sapphire, or pyth. (broadsword, aragonite, and nirvana are next best.) Go with full dummies unless you want to try to get a ship like light frigate to wipe themselves, in which case have the right number dummies to tie up all stacks above that ship.

If tyr is top, hit agressively with emerald or broadsword (unpaid = galleon or queen); no point to build dummies if you aren`t wiping the tyr with these ships.
If you`re terran/viral and using 200+T then you could use hercules with dummies instead.

If the top 2 are down, you can continue to target individual stacks with small aggressive hits, or make spam like 300+ turns of a solid capital ship (like nirvana) and hit on careful.

Anfit is his own animal, that his explore UW`s are successful is nothing short of a miraculous achievement. The micromanaging of Kho shield coverage, and high stakes border maintenance, are perilous tasks not conducive to sleep deprivation.

it`s not a test of skill, it`s a test of how long you can stay up.

that is all I have to about explo UWs (hey I`m not saying that you didn`t deserve yours or they were any less spectacular :) )

the best UW is an imaginary UW. I have a 100% success rate.

grantweep, sorry, nope, my stock is unfused - i just burned my stcs. i`ve been digging on and off for the last two years, that`s all I do these days...

I`ve never witnessed an explo UW by you before though, though I have heard about your reputation...explo UWs is the wimpy way to UW ;)

fuzzy posted some good instructions on how to take down the UW, refer to a few pages back in the chat.


and anfit: for an explo UW you need BTCs, so I was merely remarking that your hits would have set back your BTC production :P

btw, what`s with that wimpy defense? 55m in as many as 28 hours? 20 of that mine? gah, I can only hope most potential defenders did not notice the UW...

if you don`t know what to do, 1. scout the current stack, 2. which ship kills the current top stack the best (http://cb-clan.de/sf/battle.php?topic=0 if you don`t remember), 3 build up a fodder/trash 9-stack (one each), 4. spam up what you chose in 2), 5. attack on aggressive.

grantweep, sorry to disillusion you, but a/ if you`re in the game and this UW is shot down i`m back in UW capacity within 2 weeks at current food prices. b/ i won`t have time for a UW for the next 7-8 years anyway ;P explos are time consuming, there are better things to do (like child-rearing). the strange readings were to make you sweat...

I`ll make a deal that whoever sells me any Red Crystal, I promise to use it wisely.

Also, on the perceived irony of UFP doing a UW despite the PERCEIVED anti-UW message (and yes, there is a perceived irony), let me quote a line from the very first/second paragraph of my own thread:

" But don`t be fooled, because.........this is just one part of a dastardly plan to chain UW on the server!!"

The message was anti-CHAIN UW. Slight difference, but I understand the misunderstanding and confusion since certain facts and questions mentioned in the article could be used to argue against ever doing a Normal server UW.

However, lets not confuse the issue: DM and his allies have an established history of chain UWing. UFP and our allies do not. These are facts, no matter how you look at them. And if anyone has meager red/white crystal reserves they want to save, then contact me or perhaps another UFP member if you can convince them to do this deal. That should alleviate some of the stress on the server.

Meh, double standard, I have 0 influence on any server Grant, please re-evaluate me if you think that if you wish.

But, lets just take this to PM`s, which go no where since there is 0 transparency on suspensions or issues in general that I think should be somewhat publicized or the Ste actions that have gone on in the past oh 5 years ... oh wait all those were silenced/blacklisted.
