Hope this news isnt true but i got this message toady.

Hello, I used to play this game a few years ago but could not really catch on to it. Labratmaze was the one who got me started on it. Anyway, I wanted to pass along the very sad news that Labratmaze passed away on Christmas day. He loved this game very much. He was unable to get out much and space fed helped to ocuppy a lot of his time. If you could pass this along to any that he may have called friend I know he as well as I would be grateful. Thank you.

Labrat was a really nice guy, so this is truly sad news, he will be missed alot by many who classed him as a friend.

AlphaCentauri - I sent you the message because I wanted all the leaders of each fed he was a member of to be aware that he had passed. I tried to send a message to the leader of your fed but it would not go through for whatever reason.

I will certainly miss him as he was truly a great friend. As a fellow gamer (I`m a Weewar man) I knew that he had made some friends here and I would hate to think of any of you left hanging at his disappearance. He and I used to work in a Lab together before he retired and became really good friends. He was 20 years older than I so he kind of became like a big brother to me. I would visit him every month or so and every time I came around he would help me through my latest crisis whether he realized I had one or not. I can still remember him sitting in his computer chair with Space Fed in the background on his monitor. Not long after hurricane Irene hit our coastal area, (North Carolina) I went to see him for what i did not know was the last time. He told me that he had gone to the emergency room during the hurricane (he had some breathing issues and was on oxygen) but that he was doing much better and he seemed like the same ole Larry. Before I left he asked to shake my hand and said "just in case I don`t see you again". How I wish now I would have hugged him! It is a void that will never be filled for me I`m afraid. I know now that I have a much better appreciation of what friends I have living and will be sure to let them know how I feel about them. Anyway, due to his oxygen use, he was unable to get out much and Space Fed was something that filled many hours of his time as some of you may well know. Thanks again guys.

I hope the news isn`t true, though it is good to find out in a way. I hope his family can cope with the loss especially during this holiday season. RIP lab

i also got a pm from toon94, though i do not know why he sent it to me, but it is the same message... it just feels so surreal since lab and i exchanged pm`s less than a week ago... whatever happened on Dec. 25, 2011, i know he enjoyed his time with us... Good bye labratmaze

he was always my enemy; however, i always considered him a very noble and skilled player and respected him allot. He will definitely be missed and may he find peace in that big Dp in the sky

I am shocked! I took some planets off him yesterday and was really puzzled. I also spoke with him many times in the past and he was always very polite and friendly.

RIP lab, I will mourn for a week for such a loss of a ancient veteran player. I am glad that this information did come to us even if saddening as otherwise none of us would have known. I sometimes wish I knew Lab and a few other old retired players SD, never do realize a good person until they just disappear all of a sudden.

Larry aka Lab, a good friend, and Fed mate, he was a devoted player to this dying game, he was never quick to anger or upset. He was fiercely loyal to his friends and allies. Not only has each Federation that Lab was in lost a irreplaceable member, but this game has also lost an irreplaceable player. Since we both lived in the same state Though on opposite ends we used to talk about the weather differences alot among other things. In all the years i`ve played GC i talked with lab alot on msn and over pms but i really wished i could have learned more about the man behind the account.

You will be greatly missed Lab.

I always feel sorry for the ones who are left behind.

Hope Labrat did most of the things he wanted to do with his life, i know he have had more years than most of us to do it :). A really nice guy.

I have no way to verify it only the pm from toon whom I seem to remember vaguely. I have sent lab several pms on ultra leading upto Xmas with no responce which I began to wonder about, then I got that pm from what seems a RL friend of labs. So I checked rt fast and ultra and noticed He has not logged in for 2days on all 3 and no vm which is not like him. So I do fear the worst which is very sad as I classed him as a friend in the game.

This is really saddening... He was mostly enemy on the game, but a friend in life. I have spoken to him a lot and he was really a great person. R.I.P. my friend. God bless you.

if this is true, labrat, R.I.P !
i really feel like crying...coz i chat a lot a lot with him, from game to real life, to even his own story..he give a lot of advise to me....man, i`m gonna miss him a lot..(can`t believe few days ago he still pm me..)

Life is short, guys, be happy and enjoy your life...
