what happens when i go into the negatives?
does it mean i lose the game or what?
and how come the money i make off my colonies arent paying any of it off?

im 1851 in debt still.
i have sold over 5000 in ore but im still in debt.
i dont kno how to get out.
any advice specifically of what to do so i can get out fast?

Debt just means you spent more than you have. You can get out of it if you are not too far in. Stop usng turns, disband fleet, and sell minerals, ore, food, and raw material that you don`t need. Your colonies aren`t paying it off because your debt interest is probably higher than your income.
