i had a short but stimulating intellectual discussion just now with my 12 year old nephew. Debating the merits of a Zombie attack with friends, he came to his wise uncle to seek out the Truth.
Here is his question...one which admittedly I am unable to answer as I am not as familiar with Zombie issues as some here may be
From what I can tell, Zombies have many disturbing traits, the stench of their decomposition, and their tendency to congregate in large numbers are two. A single dead body gives off a foul odor, certainly enough to make a normal person vomit if they were close enough.
Now, say you`re an apocalypse survivor, barricaded inside a shopping mall, faced with dozens if not hundreds of undead shoppers (y`know...like during XMas !) . Putting aside the brain-eating and all that, how dangerous is the combined smell of all those half dead corpses? Would the stench of hundreds of walking dead make your sanctuary uninhabitable?
So... anyone have an answer I may pass off as one of my own device? I have to keep up with the "wise uncle" rep y`know..<g>
