shark might be a good ship to compliment a pyth spam. Otherwise it does seem out of place

Sharks are lovely when I hit them with k class.

It is pretty much the same as chlor, but cheaper, faster build rate, -1 range.

Shark has decent build rate, a lot of hull and cheap upkeep.

maybe i dont understand this game like i think i do.... but imo shark is aweful, sure it has 2.5 hull to pr, but what happens when it hits something that isnt a missle boat. for me sheilds make up a huge part in how i fight, thats why when i see ships like: Schooner and Shark, i think to myself "where does this POS go?"

tiger, herc, tyr, thor, chlorite, AND lyth...

and that isnt a little too missile heavy?

Generally the must-have ships are herc, pyth and pike. The rest depend on the server and playing style.

And if you consider resources too:

Pyth Pike SHARK - shark is the cheap version of chlor. Very good defensive ship.

Herc Tyr Thor - Herc is a must, Thor gives you strategic advantage over most of the races(especially marauders and collectives) and tyr is just the best ship against pyth

Flysch - Epidote - Chlorite/Lyth - Flysch is one of the best spamming ships, if not the best. Epidote got some decent build rate upgrade and has pretty good hull for destroyer. Chlorite and Lyth - well depends how high and fast you want to go.

On a serious note my choices would be

Offensive

pyth, pike, tiger

herc, tyr, thor

lyth, arag, chlorite

Defensive

pyth, pike, shark

herc, tyr, garuda

lyth, arag, chlor

if you wanna be a bada.ss dont RE a thing, just play with your v class and neutrals.... or play the race like an explorable collective using only stuff you cap in battle

Herc, Tyr, (Nirv. Fenrir, Thor, Guarda)

Lyth, (Flysch. Aragonite), (Epi, Chlorite, Chlor)

guess also my other list was too strict in choice suggestions this should hopefully give people a much better idea of what to pick

Yeah, so much depends on the server. BW`s suggestions are great for RT.

other things to take into consideration is if you plan on being explorable or unexplorable. Might want to load up on some faster building ships if you are planning on being unexporable.
