not including bonuses to agriculture from planet types, doh. since C2s get +20% to agri as well. its more like 3.15 is the equilibrium. so agriterran wins at 4+ even.
for terrans,
+20% agri means 1.2 food per land
+0% comm means 5 creds per land
1.2 food nets 5 creds at 4.16 cost of food. if you consider 2 empires with 100 infra in comm or agri, 2 25k C2s, and either a 2k fert or 10k large, the balance point shifts up to 4.5. realistically, 5+ is where agri terran win.

For an Agri terran to have any decent income advantage over a Comm Terran, food prices have to stabilize at above $8.

or dig, hitting all dig times 21 days in a row i estimate 15k-18k land
Buy gordos
How do you get a 25k fert in 3 weeks?!
do it, ?????, profit

Apollo
i could have a 25k fert in 3 weeks
a 25k fert... the larger ones are on the order of 2k! thats hundreds of gordoes right there. heres a more realistic example for a well-off yet still fledgling agri terran; 2 25k c2s and a 2k fert on 100 infra makes 653,400 food a turn

2 25k c2s and a 25k fert on 100 infra makes 1.8mil food a turn
evil aba does what he does with a massively gordoed fert i believe. i could be way off the mark in either direction... but i heard, his gordoed fert... has 80k land! hyperbole aside, to think the few agri terrans that may pop up to feed the need will easily be a market force unto themselves like aba is crazy talk.
also, ashylarry was outputting enough CGs to feed a deflated economy by himself easily he says. his empire was barely 3 weeks old when he stopped. he is probably right when he says it would only take a few players to get the job done, even if GC had new vigor

Or D, Just steal one :).
It`s really easy to collect 70k+ land in two weeks of casual exploration.
how about some one just take the time needed and explore a 25kc2 and a few 10k ularges PROBLEM SOLVED if they are active only 8h a day and gains only 100 infra should do
stephen should sell "gordoed" planets. I bet he could make money from GC and might take an interest in us again.
Don`t bring up horrible ideas that caused horrid issues in the past on turnbased please..

In the infamous words of some annoying goblin ` time is money, friend `
Means you can either A. - spend time digging or B. - spend money buying gordos

Ah yes of course, but anyway, gordos are really hard to get anyway. And even after you get them, they add measly amounts of land...One would expect to spend a lot of time on that empire.

Apollo
indeed you can, but when you start producing millions of food per turn you will start driving the price down single handedly (see evilabadayos)
