Maru make around 40% of the food that terrans make. Their ship upkeeps only cost 20%(give or take, some abit more) of what terran ship upkeeps are.

i think what grant meant is considering not just the income, but also overall cost and upkeep of ships. Marau ships are dirt cheap (: hence our relative economy is actually quite awesome

I`m a little confused, grant... unless by most races you`re only including plunder maru, and plunder collective.

the worst race is AG Terran with U ferts!! Avoid them at all cost \**/

the only thing i didnt like about maru was that you have to cluster the bottom 5 with a 13 colony max

marus actually have better economy than most races, including terran lol (if you can find the planets)

I don`t think maru suck, but between their trash economy and less than alright self defense value, You`re better off being viral without the D class.

personally, with cheap food and CG`s, for ease and laziness and hoarding

Best race to play the GC, taking the end game into consideration (rank control/UW) is undoubtedly miner. Guardians were amazing as well, but I stopped playing after the recent update so I`m not sure how good they are now.

Although, I must say the recent updates really closed the gap between all the races. Things are much more balanced now, any race has enough perks to make it useful.

The build rate sure helped... I mean, it`s still kinda garbage. Considering the Chlor still wins against all of our ships- HINT HINT* 95% of the time.

I`d say, favorites in order of [battle effectiveness and economy combination (and/ or cheapnessness)] would be; Guardian, Viral, Terran, Collective, Marauder. Miner can effectively fit anywhere they see fit, depending on independent skill level.

I have tried all the races now and i dont why but i like collective the most... maybe the constant threat of death? lol

I`ve been guardian since 2005.

I found that terran is the easiest to apply my fighting style to, and depending on the market agri terran is insanely rich. with enough land comm terran is also pretty darn rich too
