I think that 3.5 hours DP was far too long, 2 hours tops should have been the dp time. Even that is almost too long.

Thanks for having this DM. I am enjoying it so far. I would like to make some general recommendations for next time (and I imagine every time we have DM there will be different parameters).

Turn regen and max storage work well. Regen could be faster or slower (faster is probably always better). As for max storage, it only matters when you first log in for the day.

DP - I think this is the main component of how well a DM runs. Too long, everyone hides / no fights. Too short, everyone loses their planets or dies (especially over night). In the case of a 72h DM, I think 2h DP would be better. This keeps people more active, logging in to explore/fight for borders, and more chances for people to lose their good planets.

One small point before I rant about the market. Guardians get 1 k.class ship (25k turns!) but virals dont get anything? You realize nobody is going to play viral, right?

Market - The prices are okay (except food for virals - but only 2 people are playing viral). I would recommend 800 for minerals. At 500, nobody can be a mineral miner, so almost a.miner went tax route. It would be a lot of fun to try to be a hording mineral miner on dm. could you imagine how much more active the fighting would be?

With the large posts of supplies, especially 100b food, taxers have a distinct advantage over producers. Taxers don`t have to worry about running out of food, and everyone building ships doesn`t have to worry about running out of minerals.

It might be fun to try to calculate the amount of resources on the brown market so that they run out half way through the DM. The first half of the dm, the taxers will have the advantage, and the second half, producers will have the advantage.

dp time is boring.

SD, will i be force restarted into Marauder? Cuz you said you did it, but i`m still terran.

also, it only takes about 2h to make a 20k+ c.2 and find a few random u.class planets, granted they are usually that u.spaz or u.rich you never wanted,

The best part is I have 9 borders, so without a fleet, I can get dp three times before I lose my c.2

3 x 3.5h dp = 10.5h of a good night`s sleep!

this DM blows. no incentive to leave DP, very very very sloooowwww... and now im bored after a few hours. which coincidentally is a much better duration for a DM than 72 hrs
