You remember the days that Stephen used to actually talk to the players in the chat on a regular basis.

You know what "stephen math" is

You still have the STC link bookmarked in the hopes it`ll work again


(I`m sure you guys can think of much better ones)

you mentor empires that end up UW`ing then retiring/quitting...and you`re still here.

you can name 5+ great empires off the top of your head that left due to "corruption of staff/admin"

your stats all added up in terms of turns --> time accounts for more than a year of your life

you thought thought Slavyzz comment of sidewinder was hilarious yet wonder the same thing

you wonder what the f is stephen even up to and if he died GC would anyone even know!?

You know when Stephen is still around because hes talking in Chat ignoring everyone but the newb

You could attack people in your system/sector for less turns

You recall all those anaboliks and wish you could still do them today

Players actually used the spacefed community website for stuff

You still wonder if Sidewinder talked in third person in RL as well

You think about all those turns you`ve let slip by while you were asleep

You become anxious as holidays approach because back when there was more activity there was always a UW attempt.

You miss the old forum. (the battle has begun on slow anyone?)

You have given up trying to recruit your friends.

Yes, I think some of the things you said would be better suited for the thread "You know you`ve been playing GC way too long when...." thread. ^_^

But while we`re on that tangent, I`ll add

You remember the days when having a c4 as a collective made you truly elite due to the terrible ship build rates
You remember when spamming collectives (and winning) was a popular sport among the other races
You remember what it was like to actually go plunder as collective or maru and actually make a decent living
You remember the days of 1000+ planet empires
You remember that days that the words "Marauder UW" or "A Miner UW" would make people burst out in laughter
You remember when Viral UWs were all the rage
You remember how Anfit proved that a 40 hour explore UW was possible if you had the BTCs and caffeine, and next to impossible to beat

ahh the STC link, I remember it well :P


You remember getting arti gifts from Stephen
You remember updates that added things to the game, not take them away
You remember having ships from other races due to arties
You remember a time where staff didn`t have to say that they can`t do something, because it would take Stephen
There being sections in the market for selling STCs
Virals and Collectives didn`t exist
The game got UWed by the Kalzul NPC or players every month
Fed wars were epic


Wait...did I degenerate from knowing you`re a vet to knowing you`ve been here way too long??? :P
