easy set up, low base PR, flexible income (always + income, never - unlike tax)

In my mind these were always things that justified my thinking that food should naturally be low (around 6-8$ a piece). Anything above that is really just a huge plus to the food growers :D

yeah I agree with Backoff really, if we just maintain a wall at 9-12 per, everyone makes money, the taxers and the agri empires.

Who really cares if we agri empires miss out on a bill or three when posting a billion food, we all know we are rich as god knows what and realistically don`t need the cash at the end of the day.

What are we going to spend it on? Fighting UW`s? Nah they never happen on RT anymore, fight a new event? Possibly, lets see whats in the pipeline. Fight eachother? Sure, but it won`t ake us poor by any means.

in this case, i will call for all taxers to be united and vm for a week, 10 days, or so on......guess who will suffer more...food producer earn hell lot more when price at 10....somemore the food price been drag for more than 6 months above 10....be fair to each others...dun be too greedy, dude....

I`ll support whatever, even though im not `big time` producing, my fert names `McHempville` is starting to have it`s supplies rot in the warehouses, which is hardly productive with what they are producing, the entire population is getting fat, lazy, forgetful and worst of all...getting the monster munchies!

Meh, until the mineral market returns, expect a few not to eat as much as "taxers" so, expect food supply to still be greater than demand.

due to increased supply and stagnant demand, food prices automatically will drop;
benefits for the taxers.

let`s say normal food price is 10$; and it drops to 9$

normal revenue, while producing x food:
x * 10$ = 10x
new revenue with 20% extra production:
1.2 * x * 9$ = 10.8x

so that`s only 8% income boost. :(

you guys won`t get a dime out of me, i don`t buy food unless it`s at 5 or below.

I`m all for it! Of course I always post food higher as well as lower, but this week it`s been all getting returned and been biting me in the butt recently as I`m getting over max capacity when I`m offline...

Naw, I was just making fun of the situation...you guys are totally overreacting :P

In the past taxers actually lost money to these sort of events, so just suck it up this time. As long as the demand for food is sufficienty high...most big food producers should make money from this event. It`s the smaller producers that get screwed over

yeah MD there is no increase in demand so we won`t be selling more food, just making more. You have to think of the market as a whole.

if an extra 20% of food results in food not being able to get sold....then perhaps food shouldn`t be at high prices like 15 in the first place :P

oh relax, making more food will offset the lower food prices :D

Technically this would make sense since they can afford to buy more expensive food and still make more of a profit. But the way I see it is we will all be making too much food and eventually we will start having posts returned to us and someone will inevitably begin posting food for less than 15. I see food going down quite a bit before this is over, and taxers making a large bonus because of it.
