Yeah PP, if anything they need to find a way to give virals a UW reward. Mb they should just get a larger planet, or something.

UWing is tricky ever since they nerfed the SBs. You can take hoko, but it won`t do you too much good to UW with races like coll/maru. You can take lyth, but it`s just way too expensive for most races.

Etc etc....terran/coll/maru UWs are probably the most rewarding ship-wise

lol Grad, if I wasn`t blowing my empires and stayed with my first terran I would be sitting on a terran with 1k + planets, max infra, max BTCs, max hist and max dineros most likely. Would that be balanced? When I blew it(and that was ages ago) I had 130+ infra, 150 hist, 100 + BTCs, 250k land and 4.2 mil food production. And I am pretty sure I could have got more than 1000 planets, there were many clusters changing possession then. So would you think that terran making 10 mil food per turn and maxed out on artis would be balanced compared to what we have now? And btw all my blown miners carried over lakko, which is rather useless ship now.

Gradual, UW rewards are balanced. Meaning, it weakens the empires that UW in the short run, but in the long run, the compensation is fair. a 10k reward planet really won`t change things too much in the grand scheme and serves mostly to help setup an empire, and I campaigned to BW, to adjust fert rewards, so that they weren`t too rigged.

The extra ship you get is fun, but nothing game breaking, since every ship does have a counter...if anything, taking extra ships encourages stacking.

We`ve seen UWs from 1xViral, 1xTerran and 2xMiner (soon one more miner).

I think we should agree that the only real valuable asset you get from a UW is the carried over ship. Virals dont carry over, Miner ships isn`t overly useful at other races. Only the terran, that can carry Herc, seems like a really valuable asset to me. So in the end 5 empires are gone. Lots of arties has been used. And no really valuable ships has been transferred. I think DM is right in what he says...

Nope, you still start off better DM, you have the UW rewards, including arties and/or planets to help you rebuild and an additional ship, so saying that it`s making it all equal is propaganda to make people not fight them, so can BR as a whole please stop saying that, it`s getting kind of old.

Well if we all blow the server all it is left is a bunch of newbie empires. Then you can try taking over and ruling the place however you want it.
