Federations

JJ...I`m not anti-CC. Quite the contrary. There`s a few in the CC fed who I get along with quite well. Just pointing out I read a number of anti CC posts in the forum...and now scratching my head wondering why there isn`t near unanimity in decreasing fed membership limits.

Lowering numbers in the feds would be a good idea and would make the game more competitive. In theory it could be managed by Fed leaders without the need for Stephen to do anything...a kind of self regulation....

CC is quite weak on rt when u compare them to the dominant feds on other servers. not very long ago we were in a perpetual battle for the ranks with ss/mk...its not our fault they`ve stopped fighting for the moment.

I agree with lowering the numbers allowed in a Fed. Freinds are friends...but if I get a chance to wack Deathroe or Bladeliger....I`m gonna take it and apologize <ahem> afterwards :).

And it would change the power structure a tad...I mean, from what i hear...everyone complains about CC being so strong ... you`d think there would be a mass riot to get in the forefront of any proposal to weaken CC ....

thing is, even if you lower people in a fed by an arbitary number, it`s not going to stop alliances/NAPs from haivng the exact same result. The game is old enough for these to be so entrenched thatthe effect the change wants to have, will not happen at all.

Thats a bit of an exaggeration EA. Original post is just saying lower the max fed size, thus creating more fed war potential. A few years back (I played then, but not nearly as much as recently and I was terrible) there were quite a few players more players around, so there were more feds, thus more fed wars.

I think Fist has got a point, if the game population has shrunk, then the game should adjust to that. Actual #s that it should be changed, I have no idea, but the concept seems like a good one to me.

even better, when you win against someone, you win random colonies, not borders...why not make it more fun and totally change how teh games ment to be played. Cos that will be sure to keep teh existing player base and attract more players right? I mean...that colony you worked months to get nice and fat...poof gone cos of RNG planet grabs.


Change just for teh sake of change is bad. That is what this proposal is like it or not.

if you reallyt wanna mess up the game, get rid of feds and make outside 3 borders plunder themselves every 24 hours.

um...what about build a sense of community with players that are like minded? Orginsation for cirtain things?

Why propose change for chanrges sake? Saying that there are not alot of people playing can be rectifed with some effort...IE: actually advertise the game, get your friends into the game etc.

I`m yet to see any adverts for GC.

Regarding `loosing 12-15 targets`. People don`t like to hit their friends. It`s that simple. The longer you play the more you make (friends) and usual results in NAPs anyways.

I`m against this idea of either reducing or removing feds. If you don`t like how the power is distributed on your server, form an alliance of other feds and make change yourselves, don`t force it via changing the games coding.

Anyways getting stephen to do something like this will be impossible, we all know that.

i think federations should be eliminated, with the players left on this game there is no point to having a federation, it`s not like federations ever really contributed much to the game. it was just a way to pool people in a group
