New Event Time!

With every collection of empires, there are some that rise to the top, some that sink to the bottom and some that hang in limbo somewhere in between.

Six Empires have surged to the top, one of each race. They have grown in power unobserved and unknown and now finally show themselves. Who do you support, who do you rip down from power?

That decision is up to you.

Currently this is being tested on RT only, this is due to us wanting to get the feel for the event. Once it`s finished, we will see how it worked and then put it up on the TB servers. This is to limit or reduce the lasting effects if we get it wrong. Yes ultra got decimated, this is also a reason to hold off on TB servers for now.

Your missions:

Support the race NPC of your choice by bringing down the other 4 NPC`s first. Last man standing style...who knows whats hidden inside the empires? high land? or low land?

Who knows what bounties teh surviving NPC may grant the server (yes, server wide buff..what it is however...wait and see! I will say however it`s race specific. Read into that what you will, we are not expanding on it nor explaining.)

To be a bit more specific, you want your race npc to last the longest.

The original intent is to have the server knock them down slowly, as is the process right now. If the intent was to put up a uw type scenario, that would have been done.

Well, GhostofJ...seeing as how it was the original intention of the staff to allow everybody to attack these NPCs, my suggestion is more than reasonable.

On a side note, no fancy large font this time?

ned, I had a similar idea to this, but I came across the same trip up as this, the no releasing of attack restrictions. If there were a way to fix this, the event would be much more fun for all involved (I prefer pecking at a UW fleet to sitting there building and building for a maybe strong hit) And I could set up my idea after we were done. (And got BWs OK :P)

As for the rewards, I don`t care about getting the potentially juicy planets these empires have, I just want to knock them far enough down so that everyone else can tear them apart. *evil grin*

The event is meant to be up there in pr right now for the server to knock them down. At this moment in time, they will not be lowered at all. Please stop asking the same questions that have already been answered.

Is there anyway that you can force the PRs of these empires into a certain range?

I recall a long time ago, when virals were getting shiplists reset, and I was able to attack someone with 10k PR, but had a complete fleet with more than 1 mil PR.

Multiple empires cannot activate the uw at once.

As has already been said, the point is for these npc`s to be knocked down and have only one left standing. At this point in time, yes only the rich/higher pr players can attack them. That will change when they are hit and begin to drop.

only 1 empire at a time can have a UW going, again...limited by Stephens coding. Would be perfect if we could, or if we could find a work around.

This is why we are doing it on RT first and not on all servers. So we can see any unforseen pitfalls and work on fixing them.

could you enter these empires into a UW scenario, just never hit the button. im not sure if multipule empires could have uws going @ the same time (however it would be fun if they could)

Fed idea is a good one however and not something I personally considered, however not likely to be used.

Dominant feds will always tend to get the rewards. Lookin` forward to when these events are introduced to TB.

how about you put them all in a fed so if we want to declare fed war, we can have more lenient attack restrictions. though this doesnt completely solve the problem, it might help

Well, to make my intentions clear, during this event I will not hit anyone, excepting if they hit me first, those who hit me before the event are safe from any attack from me. I want to hit the NPCs low enough for others to crush them. I only wish I knew what their fleets were (Yes I could find out since I`m staff, and no, I won`t look, meaning I`ll probably get creamed the first hit. :P) If/when I make a hit, I`ll probably post it here or in a new thread :) The sooner they die, the sooner we get rewards and a server wide boon

Yeah, you are right. I probably should have sent a pm. But I was mad, hence all the posts I have in this thread. I hardly ever go over 10mil PR, and even more rarely do I attack anybody. I just sit and wait for dp.

I don`t know politics. A couple of people in CC pm`d me as I built, asking if I was building for npc event, ofc i responded to them. RW didn`t do anything wrong; he`s just playing the game. However, I can still get angry about it.

Ashy, if you climb up during events, you can allways send a few PMs upstream in which you clarify your intentions to hit NPC, and ask to pass them without getting hit :)

ofc. no-one can stop them from hitting you, no matter your intentions..
