TB event idea.

Make 10-12 NPCs, and have em come outta DP every 2 hours or so (so every timezone is covered).

If it`s too time consuming for staff to get them fleets, then just make their base PR reasonable (100-200k or so) and load them with decent sized planets...something like 500 land first border, 700 land second border and 900 land third border. This way, if staff is able to get them fleets...then the idea is that you will need to stack/work for the nicer planets!

Might keep the game more interesting, and help out marus/collectives starting out. Not to mention, giving people who are trying to hoard a bit more incentive to do so. Could also potentially even out the server, as these NPCs will be spewing out planets at a lower PR...giving federations who don`t control the ranks a better shot at boosting their economy.

Thoughts?

In response to boudica`s concerns...it`s a valid one. Perhaps a rule to disallow people to hit the NPC 3 times a day or something is enough to circumvent this issue...

Thanks for the positive feedback. I really hope that this idea is able to go through because of the mentioned effects:

1) more newbie friendly
2) potential for more server balance of power

I used to think the same way.. But why not we think of tb as another dish that makes u full when u eating.. Its to compliment rt..

even with the targets ill never play a TB server, im an all day type of player i set aside time periods to play 4-7 hours a day i dont like being able to burn through turns in 30sec and not have any for 5 hours

Counterpoint - One sided server could get toppled by influx of new players who realize there`s finally potential targets that come out if they time it and stalk the npcs.

Lol @ Dontlooksback , its called Admin :p , this would be a good idea but it seems more based toeards UC where they have npc everywhere for free planets , just live with the fact that turn based servers are always gonna have low player accounts due to the fact u can`t achieve much when the whole server is one sided ....

or the 1 or 2 active fighters on the one TB server would farm to nice planets, bad idea imo.

He`s still the Head Admin. He`s just taking a short break because as with everything in life, you need small vacations :P

RT has plenty of targets out there to hit.
Compare to Ultra, where there`s almost noone out of dp under 1M pr

I`ll take it under advisement , and will probably change the land sizes / number of npcs. This isn`t a promise to make this event happen, but I will consider it, and pass it along to Badwolf.

I like it, and would even volunteer run some of the NPCs if the idea went across. I`m not sure if every two hours would be doable, but at least a couple times a day.

This is would actually be a massive advantage to underdogs of the server.

planet sizes can be adjusted. I don`t see why it wouldn`t be a good idea for this, especially on some of the servers where things are totally one sided, and people cant be bothered to set up empires because of the lack of targets.
