No wonder this world has gone to pot. The youth of the incoming generation of power is sorely lacking in any usable skills whatsoever. Lacking imagination too is my other point.

Jeesh...take this thread for example. Fist received a manna from the heavens in garnering mango juice instead of OJ. So what`s his reaction ? Drink the frippin` juice. Then the thread turns into some techno jargon which, when it comes down to the basics, is narrow, very restrictive and reliant upon several other high tech industries, to survive. And y`all are bragging about being tied down, reliant upon outside influences, and turning away from the basic blocks of survival , science, and enjoyment of life.

In the not-so-long-past older days of yesteryear, the response to the dilemma by Fist was easy .

First off, call all your friends and set the next weekend for a party.

Then

Take the mango juice, pour a half cup of raw unrefined sugar juice into each gallon, a dose of yeast and let it sit in the closet for three days. Take it out, strain it through a sieve, put back into closet for another three days. Take it out, put it in the freezer overnight. Next day, just before the party begins, take it out of the freezer and pour the liquid into another container. Voila....a nice amount of about a quart per gallon of mango spiced alcohol.

Take a glass of ice. Pour over the ice a shot of the just created juiced mango "juice" , a shot of gin, splash of lime juice

Shake well and bam... enjoy the party.

But today`s youth? Bah ... drink the juice as is. Criminey...no wonder the world is going to he**. <Fashy shakes his head>

on the subject on mangos...i recall times long past (1972), while patroling in Panama we would occasionally come upon a mango tree. talk about a feeding frenzy....good times...good memories..oh, to be young again

:P GhostofJ, of course, after all, how long can a discussion about mango juice go? Though, it does make me thirsty thinking about mango juice...I have OJ at the moment, I think I might go have some...Or possibly apple juice, we have that too...nah, definitely feeling the OJ... *wanders off to get a drink*

I think to be able to play this game, you have to have some hardcore geek hiding somewhere. And for many of us, it`s not really hiding :P

...You sir have bad taste. Terribly, terribly bad taste. You are also slightly lacking in the "Geek" Department by my standards. And that`s coming from a closet geek. lol.

I`ve met double and triple CCIE`s who can`t even subnet properly, and i`ve met guys who only have a high school diploma that knows more about networking than most CCIE`s.

You`re right, it`s all about just being able to wave that little paper.

I have done my MSCA & MCSE for NT4 and W2k.

I have 0 papers on all severs above 2003, and yet i`am a system administrator.

SO just like school, if you pass with a 6 or a 8 nobody cares, just aslong as you have that paper -_^
