legal/ not legal?!

So i have a theoretical question here. Its about enslaving and freeing slaves.

Say Empire A has enslaved empire B,C and D. B,C and D are all in the same fed. One day empire B decides to leave his fed and two days later he enslaves his former fed mates C and D?

Is this a legal procedure for helping allied empires getting free of enslavement?

From this point forward, this conversation had very well better stay within the forum rules you are all very much aware of.

I`m really disappointed in you all.. really is it that hard to obey a moderator/administrator?

8. Do not go into topics inappropriate for public chat. Inappropriate topics will be deemed so on the discretion of Spacefed staff members. < This also applies for the fourm/HC

Taken directly from the rules. Overall you`ve all become spoiled brats with the more open/free forum i continued to allow after Maraudian left. soon as some enforcement comes in you sit there pulling this rubbish?

Now I`m only going to state this ONCE. subjects of the sort should be:-

  • Reported if you suspect foul play for an administrator/moderator to look into WHY is this? Because it is the mods/admins who REVIEW cheating cases and decide where to go from there

  • Also if & When we decide to put a thread up containing some more detailed rules regarding battle arranging/planet trading we will. Your also welcome to come to me or GhostofJ in private but NOT in the public forum

Now im going to leave this thread open long enough for most of you to get a quick read of this and then it will be closed. any further rubbish for you all will result in your suspends for wasting staff time.

I would suggest you read through the rules before posting in the forum again.

well since there are so many people not sure and wondering about this y not instead of puting up big flashy colord posts just give him his answer and then every one that is wondering about it thats presently playing won`t have to ask later

so how LONG till you are aloud to attack former fed mate(s) once you leave and not get in trouble for it whether its slaving or a normal attack?
    G GhostofJ
Or, the one or two times a month something comes up that is not immediately common knowledge, the person(s) involved sends a pm to an admin and the situation is resolved right then and there. I do not see the reason for an impossibly long and time consuming thread listing every single rule when the alternative is so very much simpler and quicker.
    F FistOfNoRemorse
heck you could even make this some sort of event: the really really good or interesting questions that someone asks could win them a btc or something
    F FistOfNoRemorse
suppose we make a sticky thread and limit the posts to questions about whats illegal and what isnt and all an admin has to do is edit the origional thread to include the new rule.

    1 cant do this
    2 dont do that
3 you are alowed to do this
    4 etc
5 (answer to the new qestion from someones response)
    J JJtheJetPlane
question: how is an admin supposed to come up with a list of `every imagineable rule that could ever be asked about`?
    F FistOfNoRemorse
Ghost, an individual asking an admin if something is illegal only gives that individual knowlege of the rule. it sounds like you want our hundred or so empires all to ask the same question and flood an admins in-box, when the obvious solution would be to make a sticky thread that lists every imaginable rule that could ever be asked about. with this solution we wouldnt have threads where admins have to threaten the players who ask for honest answers for honest questions.
    G GhostofJ
If a scenario must be prefaced with `is this legal?` the chances of it being an allowable forum discussion is nil at best. You want a definitive answer on what is and what is not legal in this scenario? The fact of the matter is a regular forum post is absolutely NOT a very good way to go about getting one. A pm to an admin or a post in the hc will get you infinitely farther.

GhostJ, we`re not discussing the merits of a rule. If you say it is a rule, no sane person who wants to keep their account from being banned is going to argue in this format.

What we want is a ruling like "This is illegal, if you leave a fed, you aren`t permitted to attack a former fed member for X days/weeks/months/never and vise versa. We`re letting all parties involved off with a warning because you didn`t know and it wasn`t in the house rules or in a rules sticky thread anywhere, BUT //red lettering// DON`T DO IT AGAIN".

If people disagree with the ruling, they can then discuss it privately with you. That so much to ask?

ya totally uncalled for...and your reason for being here should be to help! all i see is trolling from you. was asked several times for a opion from staff by thread creator and all he has gotten is ranting something bout help center..this should be public knowladge so all can see the "rules" on this matter..sorry i disagree with you.

Discussions about the rules or their merits have NEVER been allowed in the public areas (ie chat and the regular forum). Your protests are noted but completely irrelevant. If you wish to continue this discussion, my inbox is open or you can make an hc post and I will entertain (within limits) a discussion there. The alternative makes my job so much easier: dont post.

I`d say as a general rule of thumb, if you think someone is cheating, make a help center post or PM a guide/admin just for clarification.

Ps - I`m more of a fan of gold, but red works wonders when making sure people will read it.

Red seems to be the favourite colour to rant..

I dont ever recalled treg and kevio.. Mara and sol.. As ranting as the current lot without reading..

Im a paying player and i have to put up with this type of guides.. Tsk tsk..

I thought this conversation WAS within the forums rules and was quite civil. If you read the thread, no names were named and there is no complaining or name-calling. Rather, this is simply an open question for everyone. The reason it wasn`t reported is because there is confusion as to whether or not it IS reportable or not. We need clarification, and we need that clarification to then go into a sticky rules thread (that no one can post on without getting banned 3 days) so everyone is aware of it.

swear thats some insulting ****....since when UC guides come flood the Gc forums with rants?...Bw clearly settled that..hey ghost. read back before ranting...and if trolling not allowed hell all 28-30 of us are in trouble lol...

Who said your not? There is a reason I am here..dont push your luck with filter bypasses and attempted insults.

Also worthy of note is the total absence of any report regarding this particular issue. If you are going to complain about something, at LEAST take the additional 12 seconds to report it in a timely fashion.
