It`s a shame that these wonderful ships are so rarely used. I believe this is largely due to their buildrates, which are about 1/3rd and half that of the Ranger, and on par or below even the Viator II. Compared to combat ships, they`re building at 1/3rd or half that of the next slowest building ship, namely the light frigate.
Now I know that these ships are insane on defense, especially when noone`s expecting them, but that`s just it, noone`s expecting them because they`re not a viable ship to build whenever you want to make a defense that`s over 1M pr. May I suggest slightly raising their build rates, so that we may see these wonderful defensive ships being used a bit more trough out the ranks. (hey let`s be honest here, when was the last time you saw them being used as an actual part of a fleet, either in the top few stacks of a spam, or part of a balanced stack?)
Now, and I`m not saying I got any expert knowledge on how this may affect the game, but may I suggest upping the build rate of C.Aries by about a factor 2, and that of C.Gemini by a factor 1.5?
This would make the C.Aries build at 5,100 pr per turn as opposed to 2,550 pr.
The C. Gemini would then build at 7,290 per turn as opposed to 4,860 pr per turn.
To compare it to: The F.(Broad)Sword builds at about 11k pr per turn, making it a viable ship on both an offensive and defensive stack, but only if you`ve got the time to build it. It`s used on a regular basis, but not as often as to have it called a common ship.
Disclaimer: I have bee fighting in the mid pr range (1M-30M pr) for a while now, and these are just my observations and suggestions. Feedback is welcome, so is constructive criticism. Please do refrain from flaming or any negative critisism. Thank you
