I normaly would ignore this thread since im tired of trying to teach others about proper stacking as well as being less active atm.
Ned is correct, a proper ten stack made correctly is made for the purpose of defending and minimizing colony loss. So here is a quick go over on proper ten stacking and im not going to do this again so I hope whoever needs help with this is paying attention. If you always full stack your enemies know what to expect and each race has a certain colon weakness to their ships so if I see you in the ranks and your an a.miner and your climbing slowly I already know im going to own you and how im going to do it. Mix up your fleets and think outside the box. Spam a 3-5 stack through the ranks then drop down and build a full ten defensive stack up to about the pr you were spamming at and expect to be countered.
Stacks1-2 either high range with good hull and shield mods or Fodder works great in both spots. Stacks 3-10 will be all no retal ships, rotate ship weakness so you don`t have two ships with the same weakness next to eachother. Same with weapons keep them rotated. Never place king and queen next to eachother and try to keep them four stacks apart at least if you insist on using both. As a guard I`ll use hun li mixed in my stack so these rules wont always apply for me. After receiving your counter arrange your fleet and stay in dp untill a suitable time to rebuild. This is a fast breakdown without all the math cause im losing interest here.
Proper spamming is ment to throw off your enemy as to your ability to play A.K.A. your dumb and can`t play. Its never a good idea to one stack spank cause your gona get owned and have to drop down and you wasted lots of money. 2-5 stacks is ideal ( 2 is risky ) with around twenty dumby stacks or more. The first wave of dumby stacks should be no retal as well and don`t just use one ship throw some pr on that dumby. If your spamming 3 stacks equally at 10 mill pr each make your dumbies 100-500k e
