Fun with 3ds max

I was getting a bit bored of waiting for turns, and since I`m trying to learn 3D recently I figured I might as well as have some fun with it. Here I made a very simple model of what I think would be the T.Ryu.Jin fighter (I don`t know what it really looks like).

Notice that I didn`t texture it, this is because I don`t have any good textures in store. This isn`t a perfect render either since I didn`t really put that much time and effort in it (1 hour of modelling and 1 hour of rendering) :].

Not bad for a newbie, huh?

...I buy some too because it can be quite hard to find decent ones for free. You can get some good ones from magazines too, and you need to work on them in Photoshop (or similar prog).

woah nice =D, i always imagined ryu jins as the ships flying towards the planet on the game selection picture for gc/uc, this is more like a viator in my opiinion XD

{ching}: I was wondering, where is a good place to get good *quality textures? As in good ones for environments, tileable ones. As well have you ever custom-made your bump-maps/textures? Personally I need a few tuts for those...dang I need that PS disc so badly.

Mutated: yeah I guess I`ll try to do a Nirv when I get time (this one`ll probably take pretty long), but I think Strafez Queen would be one of the ugliest lol.

make a Nirvana Dreadnought...I always picture them as teh sexiest lookin Ship ever...with the V.Borrelly being the most ugly

Very cool... though I`ve always kind of thought about them as looking like Star Wars TIE Fighters =D

Thanks TheShadow, the thing is though, some of the descriptions in the game aren`t informative enough to model out a full-fledged ship, lol I don`t even know what a laser gun looks like (haven`t watched enough Star Wars lately..sign...).
