Food market

The market will reach equilibrium naturally so why is everyone getting all worked up? Last time I checked I didn`t see new empires becoming tax right off the bat. If you go Tax you understand the risk involved with it.

That being said...I feel that more food producers will eventually fix the problem

why do you always have such a stick up your butt HH? with you there is always something wrong with someone or aomething at some point in time.. seriously stop trying to control everything and just let the game play out im sure thing will go back to normal food at 9 and every1 happy... but i digress

Well telling people they need to use turns is not a fix at all. Maybe they are busy and can`t use turns right now, we can`t ask them to set aside their lives for the sake of this game.

And the below mentioned fix is the only thing I can think of atm.... I don`t see why it is not a good idea, as you did not point out anything at all negative about it. If you`re going to say something is not a good idea you should provide the reasoning as to why you think it is not a good idea.

And if the mineral producers sold their minerals to agri empires, then the mineral producers would max out on cash and it wouldn`t be fair to them, so don`t see that happening.

HB thats not a good idea.. farmers just need to use turns.. people need to sell large lots of minerals to the farmers to help them spend their money. **ATTN unhappy taxers*** "GO TERRAN, PUT ON OVERALLS", that is all.

You are exactly right elemental.... and eventually when the prices drop down too low, people will no longer want to produce food and it will blance out.

The main problem is, in the mean time, all of our tax empires are starving and can`t afford to use turns...... only fix right away, that I can think of, is have an npc sell food, and maybe keep it at a high enough price to encourage more agri empires while allowing the taxers to continue to play.

actually, now that i think about it, high prices for a while might actually drive the prices lower later on. as sibiriangun said, we need to get more food producers going. with high prices, more people will want to be food producers and make lots of money. then you get the supply/demand stuff driving the price down.

Shadow once again you have no clue as to what is going on..... neither accord nor aacra are raising food prices, they aren`t trying to make more money, they don`t need more money. It is their lack of production\activity, as Sibi stated, that is the cause for this price hike.

lol Accord is already at max cash and Aacra probably pretty close.

I understand why they dont use turns, they have max cash and there are no minerals to buy, so theres no real incentive if they are busy in rl too.

This is what happens when there are two allies controlling the market.... get some more food producers going is probably the best solution
