2011-02-24 A Mineral Shortage Fix

So I thought of a fix, well somewhat, to the shortage of minerals. At least something that might cancel out the largest problems related to such.

The largest problem being that New players cannot find enough minerals to build ships. These players don`t need a ton of minerals, most of the wealthier empires wouldn`t even notice if the amount they need was taken from their supplies.

So two things we, as players, can do to help.

The first being don`t buy any small intervals \ posts of minerals on the market, leave those for the newer \ poorer empires. I mean really what is another 100k minerals when you have 10, 20, 100+ million already.

Secondly, we could all start randomly posting small amounts of minerals. IE 100k of each, ever day, or every other day, even once a week or so would help.

If all of the wealthier empires posted small amounts randomly and none of them bought any small amounts, there would almost always be at least some minerals for the younger empires to help them get started.

This would require the cooperation of nearly all mature

@ HB, nice idea. Also i think SK is posting so we know he is helping lol.

@ ShadowKing nice to see you turned a new leaf, and i thought you were a poor collective lol 20 million RC is alot lol. And im sure a mineral A.miner should have no problem posting that lol. And thanks for helping keeping minerals on the market for newer players.

Shadow, thank you very much for posting the minerals, but please don`t post all of the event logs.... if anything just post one and put X10 or whatever next to it. It just makes it very difficult for people to read what everyone else has to say.

I`m willing to post loads of white crystal and terran metal but I`m in serious need of rutile so I`ll be buying all that comes to the market....anyone care to post a lump for me would be much appreciated.

Well I`m not exactly too poor anymore with 40b credits on me, but I`m in no position to stop buying minerals on the market if I see 100k stacks. I will however make a point of posting several times more stacks than the ones I buy in just smaller quantities :)
