So I thought of a fix, well somewhat, to the shortage of minerals. At least something that might cancel out the largest problems related to such.

The largest problem being that New players cannot find enough minerals to build ships. These players don`t need a ton of minerals, most of the wealthier empires wouldn`t even notice if the amount they need was taken from their supplies.

So two things we, as players, can do to help.

The first being don`t buy any small intervals \ posts of minerals on the market, leave those for the newer \ poorer empires. I mean really what is another 100k minerals when you have 10, 20, 100+ million already.

Secondly, we could all start randomly posting small amounts of minerals. IE 100k of each, ever day, or every other day, even once a week or so would help.

If all of the wealthier empires posted small amounts randomly and none of them bought any small amounts, there would almost always be at least some minerals for the younger empires to help them get started.

This would require the cooperation of nearly all mature

its a free-market, people will do what they please. thank you.

i often post small batches..since ver very long ago , when i do it..i post alot so that at least a few will reach to those who really need them
it is only natural to buy them when the market is loaded with it
no point bullying them into following your rule. just post a lot and new players will get them somehow, if they are persistent
seriously how many new players are in desperately in need of mineral? zzz

i dont recall any rules mentioning about obeying the forumers consensus of way of playing
you guys are making rather big deal out of it.

Founders, nobody is threatening you or trying to get you, or anyone else, to stop buying large posts of minerals. I don`t know where you got the from. The goal here is to try and have the market supplied with small batches of minerals at all times, for young empires.

HB i make my own minerals and therefore dont realy need yours other than to stash cash. i dont buy the small posts of 50 or 100k or so as im lazy and cant be bothered to spend lots of time buy them all but i will buy any larger post that appear whne ever i want and no threats of mds will stop me as you would have to hit me with mds all day every day to make it hurt in any way. as for helping new empires and poorly run empires and any empires that are not my enemies for that matter is something i do when ever asked i get pms from time to time from ppl who i know and ppl i dont know randomly asking for me to post minerals for them i always do.

so ill just stat here if any1 who is not fighting me on the regs or not in a fed in war with mine wants minerals pm me when im online with what and how many and ill make several posts of that amount to ensure you get what you want. i rarely sell minerals w/o being asked as i make enough tax to store my minerals.

So far I have spoke with 40-50 players personally, each one has been, at the very least, cooperative. You two, mainly ShadowKing, are the only players that have not been cooperative.

We are not mineral producers, we are not posting minerals so that people can stock up on minerals. We are posting minerals for the good of the game, so that young empires will have enough minerals to play the game and enjoy it.

If you continue to buy up all the minerals on the market, we will inevitably stop posting minerals, meaning you will no longer be able to buy them and there will be no minerals for the young empires once again. Is this what you want?

Shadow King...now THAT`s funny !

Founders ... just asking for overall consensus, not aimed at you or anyone else. Just trying to figure out how to keep HBs idea going as it appears to be working helping Newbies and poorly managed empires. Since the more established wealthier empires would buy large lots, you`re certainly not a Newbie, and you`re saying your flush wth cash...you`re not admitting or reveling to everyone you`ve a poorly managed empire are you? (Which I highly doubt you have a poorly managed empire... so just askin` if I`m mistaken in my thoughts/doubts or what message you`re conveying...)

Anyhows....seeing if there`s an organized structure developing to HBs plan or not ... no problem.

if i see minerals and want them ill take em, waste your Mds if you want, means youll have less other arties and my $ will be in minerals not large amounts of cash :P

I`m not a producer of minerals, and i admit i stash to keep $$ supply down. But I repost significant portions of the lots I do buy. I`ve noticedthat there are a few who will take and take and take...without regard to the PMs askig to be more ameniable to HBs plan.

I`m about to unleash passel of MDs against certain transgressors who are intent on ignoring the efforts of the vast majority of the Vets and producers. Since I`m but one of the many who are involved, and who make the overall plan of HBs a success...I`m not about to act unilaterally.

So ... my question is:

What`s appropriate warning before hitting a hawg with a few MDs to enforce the point? Should there be any informal "enforcement" of HBs plan? And..if there should be, what is appropriate?

Advise as deemed warranted

Lets keep this thing going on. Finally we have a market with minerals. Not only does this make the server more active (from what i notice), but it helps the returning players and new player start of.
