So I thought of a fix, well somewhat, to the shortage of minerals. At least something that might cancel out the largest problems related to such.

The largest problem being that New players cannot find enough minerals to build ships. These players don`t need a ton of minerals, most of the wealthier empires wouldn`t even notice if the amount they need was taken from their supplies.

So two things we, as players, can do to help.

The first being don`t buy any small intervals \ posts of minerals on the market, leave those for the newer \ poorer empires. I mean really what is another 100k minerals when you have 10, 20, 100+ million already.

Secondly, we could all start randomly posting small amounts of minerals. IE 100k of each, ever day, or every other day, even once a week or so would help.

If all of the wealthier empires posted small amounts randomly and none of them bought any small amounts, there would almost always be at least some minerals for the younger empires to help them get started.

This would require the cooperation of nearly all mature

Yeah fistfull, I am trying to get people to post the larger stacks at 999 or less so they don`t end up buried.... but for now we`ll just have to work around it and repost as you said.

lol yeah I wish there was a way around that.... it`s very odd for me, I`m use to my logs being filled with battle reports...... I hate all this junk filling it up...... but oh well, guess I can live with it.

I`m not too fussed either way I make money...i`ve always been posting minerals just means i post it in smaller batches, which is a little bit annoying because it fills my events page.

Please don`t c\p all the info.... just post names of people buying up a lot..... also try to pm them, very politely, and inform them of what`s going on to give them a chance.... if they don`t respond well then let us know.

Dalek seems fine to me, he is only 15 days old and he doesn`t seem to buy all that many.... at least not all of mine.... just a few here and there it seems.

And keep in mind that some of the people buying the small bunches are just trying to get to bigger ones and then they respost the small ones.

Over the past 5 days I`ve sold around 70 million of minerals and thankfully some of it is going to new empires.

Keep up the MD work aswell guys.

WEEE finaly HH puts his foot down on his plan to give this game a much needed boost and since the bm started poping in every once in a wile and then this lovely plan came along the server is averaging 60 people on at all times some times it lower but a lot of times now its over 60 people reaching into the 70 and that is simply great

Alright, I have discussed the issue further with ShadowKing and he has agreed to stop buying up the small posts of minerals. Let`s hope he sticks to his word and that is the last one that will be so stubborn.

And even if it doesn`t stop them, it at least lessens the amount of minerals they are able to buy.... plus it makes a statement to them, that if they don`t cooperate then they can expect some resistance. Personally I am not going to just sit around and watch someone with enough cash to buy up all of our minerals when we are posting them so that all of the young empires can get a few.

And if MD`s don`t work, then I am willing to take it further, to do whatever is within my power to "persuade" them to cooperate.

Sure why not MD them if they are not going to cooperate. In my eyes they have asked for MD`s at the very least if they are going out of their way to ruin such a positive thing. And if you`re going to stand against the majority of the player base and make enemies then MD`s are the least you should expect.

but that is no reason for threatening people with md,
if you hv the mineral then post, since the message is clear that small amount is meant for new player,,at least some will get them

do you really think md can stop a established empire from hving some fun with the market if they wish to?
the idea is good, but the punishment part i dont agree
maybe some not-smart like the one below does deserve it..lol

And who is this select few that feel they have the right to ruin such a good thing for every one else.

This has been the most cooperation on any one thing, from the most amount of GC players, I have ever seen, since I have started playing this game, many, many years ago. It`s not fair, nor right, for a few people try go out of their way to ruin it.

Blizz, you are right, there is no rule stating that you must follow this, however just as it is a free market, we are also free to use MD`s as we please, for the reason of our choosing.

And yes that is usually how things work, a few people get together and decide what is best for the game. Though, this wasn`t a few players, so far it has been just about every one who actively plays.

How can anyone argue that it is not best for the game to have a constant supply of minerals on the market for young empires to buy whenever they need??

That is one reason why we lose new players, because they can`t find adequate minerals to build ships and who wants to play a war game when they can`t even manage to build ships.

Bilzz this is what led GC to its downfall everybody decides to hoard minerals making it impossible for new players to start out and in the end just make them quit.
