how to survive a zombie

how are all of you surviving right now?
we have a zombie apocalypse every1 who`s stuck in their routine is a zombie!

#1 - Never Trust anyone
#2 - Hold up with good tough people
#3 - Find an easy to defend base of operations with supplies. Preferably a place with its own power generator.
#4 - Do body checks every 12 hours to ensure your group doesnt turn againist ya while ya sleep or just dont sleep.
#5 - Always make sure the not-smart girls arent part of your group, make sure they die along with any other people without balls.
#6 - A shotgun is your best friend, a machine gun is your brother, and a grenade always come in handy, but a hand held weapon never runs out of bullets, just make sure it kills fast & has distance OR you better be fast than the zombies.
#7 - Have an escape route, by air is preferred, but make sure your the only person who knows how to fly, underground has always proven dangerous.
#8 - Avoid being the guy up front, you should prefer to be the guy backing him up, however make sure the rest of the group knows your a tough guy or they might eliminate you.
#9 - Figure out which position or rank you want in the group, 1st in command is always challenged by someone else, 2nd in command either backs-up 1st in command or betrays him. You rather be the guy everyone likes & they want your advice cause your that much of a Bad A55.
#10 - I`m going to run out of things to list, but make sure you dress appropriately, shorts & a tank-top wont do the trick. Make sure to protect your neck & face, and dress in thick layers or better yet full body armor. Make sure if a zombie bite ya that they couldnt infect ya, but being overly dressed could slow you down.
#11 - Work out constantly in your free time, and always keep a gun or hand held weapon handy, you wanna stay in shape so no one wanna screws with ya cause you are the man even if you arent the leader.

Figured someone should give an answer :P Of course, this plan is moot if you get killed before being able to set up, and other groups of survivors are likely to be looking for the possible supplies in a place like that too, sooner or later, thus why being by yourself is probably not a good way to go.

As for actually surviving a zombie apocalypse, assuming you aren`t rigging the deck like ear just posted, and stick to the way most zombie movies go, either slow stumbling things, or ones that can run, until they start decomposing and can`t use tools, or really climb, then I`d have to say get somewhere like Costco, or another store or warehouse with steel you can climb up on that doesn`t have ladders, and board up the entrances. You have many supplies ranging from fruits and vegetables, which you can also collect seeds from to plant later, to tinned food that will last a while. You`ll have some basic medical supplies, and liquids, as well as tools with which you can fashion other items into something useful. I know the Costco near my place also has some generators, so that power would not be an issue, for a little while at least. Also, many items in the store can be turned into handy weapons for zombie bashing.

Have you and any other survivors in your group sleep on the levels above the floor, so that if zombies do break into the warehouse, your sleeping people won`t get wiped out before they can reach safety. Skylights can also be broken, and tarps hung under to collect water from rain after the bottled stuff runs out, as well as hanging an escape rope in the event that you really need to flee. The roof, if inaccessable from the ground, can also be used to scout the outside of the building, and, if possible, allow you to string up lines to other buildings to explore outside your refuge without compromising your defenses. If it can be gotten to from the ground, use the tools to remedy the situation.

Eventually, extermination parties, to lessen the zombie presence would be required, and fences could be built to extend the cleared area, hopefully giving you the area to plant the seeds from earlier.

I think i`d become a zombie too.... if you can`t beat `em join `em.

You know how everyone is terrified of becoming a zombie.... well nobody truly knows what it is like to be a zombie, at least not anyone who can explain what it is like.... for all we know it could be the best experience in the entire world, they`re just walking around tripping balls, having an amazing time, without a care in the world except to find more flesh to eat.

Lets ramp this up what if the zombies had instant regeration. What would you guys do. O.o

rule #1 don`t forget your shot gun.

Just knife the ones at the beginning so that you can save your ammo. Find the magic box. Turn the power on.

For some reason this thread made me think or horror movies that I like, and I spent 30 mins figuring out this movie that I love; "House of 1000 corpses". If you are old enough, go see this if you haven`t already. Very good movie.

So I don`t know if any of you guys saw "The Walking Dead" or something like that, it was an HBO special...... good show.... but they realized that the zombies could smell them, so they covered up in thick clothes and then killed a zombie and smeared his guts all over them and then they walked like zombies and they were able to just walk around with them and not be noticed as long as they didn`t move too quickly..... was a pretty good idea.

Ear, that is one rule I refuse to follow, I would rather end up a zombie then stop partying with little girls.

Another one was to not go to parties with little girls or somethong like that. XD
