Newb question, what exactly is the purpose of these types of planets?
T ThEpAkIsTaNiEmPirE
Pistol that`s not entirely true, i gorodoed a U.fert as Maru, and i was using 2 land gas, and my yield would be around 5-10 gorodos a day . I think it depends on the time and the amount of turns used to dig, 3 turns is optimum :) .
P PistolPete
The race plays a major role. Terrans and miners are the best races to dig with, as far as i know.
B Brotherhood
i was always told maru was best diggers...does race play a part also?
C Crack
Different planets for different types of arti.. On different time.. Some believed population and loyalty plays a part..

Use 3 turns.. Terran the best digger..
P PizzaTheHut
i think loyalty is only a temporary boost just try puting 2-3 turns in it when your about to use luck artis (do it befor)
B boudicca

I get what you are saying Pete, every day has a different dig, and cannot have "exact" data on it.
P PistolPete
ya.. i believe you counted them in a regular way.. It is the loyalty discussion I am talking about. It is very small differences we are talking about if there are any. I could claim that i make slightly better/worse digs if I slam my head against the wall while drinking coffee too. I would probably see a small difference even if I counted them due to the variance of the sample that I am taking.
B boudicca
Pete, they were calculated even down the which common was found and everything, i have no personal feelings on digging, just results.
P PistolPete
I honestly dont believe you are able to judge small differences you claim with or without loyalty, unless you`ve put your digs into a spreadsheet and count them. And even then you need quite a lot of turns to be able to say anything about this matter. Personal feelings dont count.
N nedflanders
I think the idea is that putting loyalty on your dig planet gives you better dig rates. Never tested that myself.

I wish they made guardian build rates a bit better heh, they are terrible :P
B boudicca
Freelancer i am with you on the loyalty, I have noticed very little effect from loyaltied planets, i have how ever found ways to increase digging with all kinds of other things.
F Freelancer
PP if you dig enough you notice the difference. I could write a half page telling you about the things i noticed while digging with different planets & loyalties. If your interested in hearing about all that stuff PM me, but im sure other people have their own way of digging & notice some of the same effects. However Loyalty plays a very small role in my opinion, compared to a good digging planet. In fact the best digging planets i`ve ever had was won in battle & normally have less than 50 loyalty on it. But thats me & i use Oceanics.
P PizzaTheHut
a miner is not bad but whitch ever race has the overpop type ability would have an edge since high pop low land is better
B boudicca
I have tested it with Guard to but the digging was so bad i had nothing to record LMAO
B boudicca
Terran "supposedly the best digging race"
M MajorDinero
Interesting boudicca, which race did you use for these tests?
P PistolPete
yep.. just wondering how big the samples on each were?
B boudicca
Oceanic had better results for uncommon, during that time, Gas and Spaz were fairly equal on commons, and the Spaz and ocean were neck to neck during rare times, this was done without luck arties, for better results, ofc using suertes increase luck =)
P PistolPete
ok.. so what was the result. I guess you just counted the number of rares you collected with amout of turns you used, and used suertes in a regular way.
