BM for Cgs? Personally, I don`t take much shine to the idea. <hey HB, how`s that usage of slang for butchering the language !?>

Cgs are not that difficult to buy. I max out on my CGs. 2 bil. As son as I can when they get cut down by a UW. Takes about three or four days. And i freak if it gets down to 1.8 I`m not taking from the market any CGs other than what i use, and I try to keep it as close to 2 bil as possible.

rarely do I buy anything larger than a 300 mil purchase. rarely. I can`t recall the last time I ws below 1.7.

CGs are not that difficult to purchase. Why have a BM for a good that is rlatively easy to buy, and isn`t a "needed" commodity?

i say do like the food BM 10x the average price so godds at 40 or 50 and some rich empires can spend cash to bring it down by buying and reselling at bargain price compared to BM

having to buy from BM should constetute a net loss to your empires economie not a real gain
in other words if cg comes in it has to be at an exorbitant price like food BM but more so since its an added bonus not a nessesety

if goods can be sold for ~4.8 then this is a (not horrible) idea. Otherwise, legitimate miner empires RIP.

Cole, maybe I should just skip over them, but I haven`t quite given up on trying to help my fellow human beings yet, I won`t continue to push the issue, but I did feel it was necessary to at least try to explain how we all interpret such writing and point out some of the benefits of changing such an awful habit. Well I tried, he can now do as he chooses.

Also, we do very much appreciate your CG`s Cole, or at very least I know all the taxers do, thank you very much for contributing to the game and helping out other empires, to my knowledge you have been producing more CG`s then the rest of the server combined.

I do know what you mean HB, I write properly most of the time :P but it`s his problem not yours, if he doesn`t want to change it then so be it. I know it`s unpleasant to read but then I guess, you just skip the post :P

Anyway, there are several CG miners at the moment, me being one of them for fun :P you want more, give a little bit better racial boost to miners` industry and you might have more, though I can understand any desire to not improve the ways miners can earn credits :S

CG BM wouldn`t work, as I think almost everyone agrees. BM in everything else is probably having a temporarily beneficial effect on activity, as old rich empires play to try to max out all resources, and possibly do a little fighting on the side. I`m the opposite, I`ve sold minerals since the BM came around, :P In the long run, activity might go back down, though empires that wouldn`t have thought about it before might think about UWing with storehouses full of minerals and the potential wealth to build a truly powerful UW fleet and keep building it while getting hit during their UWs. (I know this was the case for me once)

TPE, yes the black market for CG`s is not an option, that`s why I turned this thread into a discussion about something that might be useful to others.

And DOE, I`m not trying to pick on you, correct you or insult you. But you should really try and take advice from people like FlashyDomain and myself, people who are older and have much more work and educational experience. We are just trying to encourage you to better yourself, nothing more. If you don`t want to that`s fine, do as you please, but if you want to be a better person, a more skilled person, then you better learn to take advice and feedback from others and consider it`s potential use.

i agree whit ya bigger food and cg cap so a few post not just 2 max but don`t lower the mineral and ore cap they are the gc version of savings bonds

HoneyBucket i can remember the old memories, their hue fades slowly. I remember, a lot of people complained about my grammar as well. Now i see where you guys are getting at LMAO. But all Doe is saying that : If there is a black market for CG`S it wouldn`t be at price 4 it would probably be at 5, we have asked Maradian in the past many times. So thus it is not a good idea to BM CG`S, due to the price problem. And i am pretty sure that the BM prices have to be above the Cap prices of that specific material/thing we are talking about.
But we have already solved the problem, we increased INDUSTRY for many Races (I cannot remember which ones i think Terran), but INDUSTRY has a low cap. Almost like Agriculture, and people want to have a stable income. They just want to keep clicking mindlessly, without going through the hassle of selling.

NO LOWER CAP its the only place whe can store extra cash like i make a ridiculous amount of creds a turn and if whe had even stricter limits to saving when you max out people would get peaved that they cant sink it in anything i have close to 3 mill of each mineral as it is and could possybly sell it all unless i had bought it of the bm to loose creds

DOE and Cole, you don`t have to use perfect grammar or spelling, but if you want your thoughts to be actually read and taken at all seriously, it`s a good idea to at least write them in a slightly intelligent manner. Don`t waste our time reading your garbage writing.

Two main reasons why you should, at very least, try to write properly; the first being out of respect to those that are going to read it. The second, more importantly, as good practice for yourself. If you want to ever want to make something of yourself and earn a decent living, then you should write properly every time you write in order to improve your skills.

As a person who really loves to have a surplus of goods, I have to disagree with you, bio. A bm for cg`s would be a terrible thing.

i think the minerals r great and BM is great.... but BM for CGs r very bad lol

we tried it tht way mineral miners jsut arent doin anything i dnt feel bad 4 them one bit...

minerals miners like yoshi buy up everything then sell it wen they choose to or only when there fed m8s need them thts the problem they dnt do it for money the only do it for there m8s so its very unbalanced be4 the BM.. now tht the BM is here things r a lot better and AS U CAN SEE RT IS A LOT MORE ACTIVE becuase ppl actually hav minerals now and can come out of dp and attack other players..

The Black market forces mineral miners to sell what the have faster instead of sitting on them. Their only loosing out if the decide not to sell, I look for decent prices first like most empires but if my back is against the wall the black market comes in handy.

This shouldn`t be on a permanent basis just short term. And BM cg`s is a horrible idea.

I agree with DarkMara. Granted I`m well set up on minerals and most likely wouldn`t have to buy out of need for a very long time..

I think the best option for controlling mineral hoarding is to lower the cap. To say something like 300mill a mineral? I think that would be fair but I`m not completely sure.

problem isnt solved by putting BM up though, that just lets them stay online and hoard longer and more..

leaving it off lets the game balance itself or die untill untill the culprits do something about it or the new players do something about it
