Was wondering what everyones thoughts are on having a mineral bot on rt like we had for food, this way empires with empty stores can fill up and rich empires can work on maxing out if they wanted to. I can`t really think of any hard core downsides to this except for some empires trying to buy out everything but some are already doing this now so what`s the difference?

It would be nice to have random bot drops periodically in the market, I would volunteer my time to help in this regard.

Thx for listening

true... but you do have to admit that the reason there are not more minerals and CGs on the market is because tax miners are much more popular. anyways, i didnt mean that the price should be raised too much, but just enough to make people think twice about using taxes as their main income.

elemental, you neglect to think of all the effects of raising food..... one effect would terran food producers would become way too rich.... another is that tax virals wouldn`t be able to play the game as they would lose money with every turn with much higher food........ good idea, but it`s just not applicable as it as too many other implications.

problem is, tax miner is much more popular. however, if we could increase the price of food or something, then tax miner would become too expensive, and there would be more minerals and CGs on the market most likely. im just suggesting this option because it wouldnt even require admins, just a collective effort by all food sellers to keep the price of food high.

It only takes 1 active 500 planet miner with 100+ infra to supply the whole server. We have seen this a tons of times before...

Whenever people are fighting there is moer than enough minerals, but when people dont spend the cash on upkeeps, etc. they need somewhere else to put the money.

Mineral cap is too big - no doubt. But we have discussed this multiple times over the years too, and everyone seems to agree, but it is not lowered.

So to sum it up.. Find an active miner or two - and the market will be full again.

Well tightening the leash on the rich chokes the poor, and theirs more poor than rich so the way I see it its more resourse for the financialy challanged to stand up, even if I had to pay double a min bot would be great from time to time.

I would agree with Honeybucket about mineral restrictions. But being an A.miner, if i was ever to UW, i need those resources to sell as money later... A.miner & Terran upkeep are so high.

Also i think Mineral A.miner dont sell unless they need the money, not uncommon, but i feel sometimes some A.miner hordo the minerals and dont care about others unless they are friends or fedmates.

I wouldnt mind proposing Minerial Collective as a new income type. Bring back the collective C5 as well, make it interesting. However if this did change, collective would become a rich race, off balancing its current ship set up. Really a new race would be awesome.

I say bring back the black market pretty much... i`ll pay the high prices vs dealing with stubborn hoarders

The only problem I could see is uber rich empires getting way too many minerals and cash.... maybe reduce the maximum minerals for everyone and then have a mineral bot.... or maybe if you could restrict the amount of minerals each empire could buy per day or something like that.

that would definitely help
