When you are enslaved how can you become independent again?

unless you allow yourself to be enslaved by another empire that doesnt have such a high pr but he will have 100% chance of dealing with reinforcements if he tries to enslave you

A simpler way would be of course to sent a message to the fellow who enslaved you and ask him to free you.

just for the record, asking for freedom works a lot more often than you might expect.

Manage Colonies
Projects
Market
Slave Empires
Click "Declare Independence" and you are freed
Conditions:
Your Power Rating (PR) must be at least 10 times that of the person who enslaved you
